Guests are provided access into the building by using a call box directory at the entrance. The condo door has an electronic keypad. Inside the condo is a set of keys for guest use with a garage opener and building fob to come and go during their stay. Please keep this set of keys with you at all times. The callbox method of entry is limited to initial check in only.
Although a high density area (busy score of 64/100), the building has 5 parks within 0.8 miles, including Olympic Sculpture Park, Denny Park, and Pacific Science Center.
It is considered a walker’s paradise (score 98/100) and rider’s paradise (transit score 100/100).
Walk 10-15 minutes to visit Pike Place Market, the cruise ships, aquarium, waterfront, or the Space Needle.
Elliot Bay Trail, just a few blocks down the hill, hugs the waterfront, providing a breathtaking view of the ferries and islands (unfortunately it’s the same distance back up the hill!).
Bring your car (free secured parking) to see the Cascade Mountains, Mount Rainier, or the Olympic Peninsula.
Live like a local in the heart of Downtown Seattle. The immediate area is prominent with restaurants, cafe's, coffee bars, markets and retail shops for an active urban experience. Popular attractions such as Pike Place Market and Seattle Aquarium are just a short walk away.
Our condo is located on the third floor of a five story building. It is all one level, with no steps required to access any part of the space, or the building amenities. An assigned parking spot in the secured underground garage is included. The top level of the building offers a common area rooftop deck with great views of the iconic Space Needle, and the twinkling Seattle skyline.

*My condo is located in the heart of the city and, although generally quiet, there is the potential to hear street noise, as well as nightlife. As with most densely populated urban areas, there is diversity among Seattle locals. If a completely quiet and family oriented environment is a must have for you, the downtown area may not be the best place to stay.
*Our home is part of a wonderful quiet community made up of friends and neighbors. No parties or gatherings in the condo are permitted.
*An efficient portable air conditioner is available during warm weather. There is also a ceiling fan and a portable box fan. The condo is not equipped with central air conditioning.
*During the cooler seasons, the portable A/C is stored away in an area inaccessible to guests. Should you require the portable A/C be available during the cool weather season, please notify the host in advance so we can install it before you arrive.
* The parking space in the underground garage is best suited for compact to mid size vehicles. The assigned parking space is narrow and may require careful maneuvering. The garage door height is 6'7".
* This is a secured access building which includes security cameras located on the exterior doors and in the lobby.
*The check in method is via a call box at the building entrance. Out of respect for the person who receives the call, check in time is limited to 12:00am.
*There is a queen size air mattress, which you may prefer to use in lieu of the pull out sofa bed. Linens for the sofa bed or air mattress are provided.
*At night avoid dark and poorly traveled areas. The Austin Bell Building is secure so please avoid letting people in, be alert, and exercise caution when exploring at night.

this was a nice stay in Seattle for myself and my 18 yr old son. The host was super accommodating, and went the extra mile for us at check-in since we arrived early in town. The unit was clean and worked great for us. We spent basically only evenings in the unit as we were out exploring during the days.
(note: We happened to be staying during the hotter days of summer in Seattle and Vancouver. While Seattle has a higher % of units with A/C than Vancouver I didn't think to check the listings for that and as it turned out our unit in Vancouver had A/C whereas this unit doesn't however that's unlikely to be an issue usually.)
