Situated less than an hour from the Melbourne CBD, on the uppermost reach of the Dandenong Ranges, amid cool ferny glades and lush towering native forests. This is one of Mount Dandenong's premier getaway homes with majestic views experienced day or night over the Melbourne skyline.
Walking distance to the famous SkyHigh Lookout and restaurant and a short drive to the mystical William Ricketts Sanctuary and The Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden.
The space
We are offering a five bedroom house with high ceilings, expansive windows and skylights which give an abundance of natural light and three terraced areas for outdoor entertaining along with an 8 person spa and steam sauna. We also have a large open space living area for guests to enjoy. This room is fully equipped with a large sofa and chairs, 75 inch wide screen smart TV, Foxtel, Stan, Netflix and is a great addition for all to enjoy.

It’s large size makes it the perfect base for a mountain getaway, wedding accommodation or just a private luxurious sanctuary. Bedrooms are opened up according to the number of people booked. For 1 to 4 guests 2 bedrooms will be opened, for 5 to 6 guests the 3rd bedroom will be opened, for 7 to 8 guests the 4th bedroom will be opened and then the 5th bedroom opened for 9 and 10 guests. We do this to make the house more cost effective for smaller groups however if you are a small group but all want separate bedrooms then you can book for extra people to open up the extra bedrooms.

*Please note that strictly only the guests who are booked to stay are allowed on the property over night and the house is not suitable for infants or children under 12 years old.*

If you would like to hold a daytime gathering with more guests than those who are booked to stay you must obtain prior approval. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and may incur additional charges.

We are located in a very quiet area so the peace and tranquility of our neighbours and respecting our local community is absolutely paramount.

The house has all the modern amenities along with large living spaces for guests to relax and unwind.

For up to 4 guests 2 bedrooms on the upper floor will be available which includes a master bedroom with full en-suite, wardrobe and king size bed, along with a large wide screen television and the front guest bedroom with queen size bed, television and another bathroom. There is a large open plan kitchen and dining room, laundry and high ceiling, spacious sitting room, again with a large wide screen smart television.

For 5 to 6 guests, the third, end bedroom, off the living room will also be available. This gives you access to the entire upper floor.

For 7 to 8 guests, the forth, lower floor bedroom which has a wardrobe, king size bed along with a large wide screen television. This also opens up another bathroom.

Please note that the third bathroom will only be available if there are 7 or more guests.

For 9 to 10 guests, the fifth Bedroom will be opened up which is also on the lower floor and has 2 single beds and its own television. This bedroom can be opened up instead of the forth bedroom for 7 to 8 guests if twin beds are a better option than a king.

The Kitchen is light filled and equipped for self catering. It contains an electric oven, stove, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and other appliances. It also has a wood fired aga for those who are more adventurous.

Our lovely mountain retreat is ideal for people coming to the Dandenong Ranges for weddings or other functions and conveniently located within walking distance to the famous SkyHigh function centre.

Guest access

There is space at the end of the drive for 10 cars which should be more than enough for any size group booking.

There are walking tracks and paths on the property for guests to explore.

There is also outdoor seating around the property and fantastic views of the city day and night.

There is a coonara in the living area for a comfort fire.

There is a closed off (owners area) on the lower floor that does not form part of this listing which is used for storage . There will be no one staying in this area but your guests also do not have access to it.

Other things to note

Children between under 12 years old are not allowed because the house has open steps and hard floors along with a fireplace, there are lots of areas where they can fall and hurt themselves.

We do accept bookings for intimate (up to 10 booked guests) terrace wedding ceremonies and functions as well as private chef dinners. There are additional fees and charges for these options.

Ground level offers an open plan living and dining, detailed by a charming kitchen. Five bedrooms in total which are serviced by two bathrooms, one on each level. Built for entertaining, the large decking showcases sensational sunset views you can enjoy over a glass of red. A fully self-contained lower-level features two more bedrooms.

Guest access
Guests have access to all open rooms. Please be aware that extra bedrooms can only be opened up if more guests are selected during the booking process. If you have single guests requiring a bedroom to themselves then you may need to book for more people than you have attending to open up more bedrooms. There will be no other people staying at the property other than your group. There is a closed off (owners area) on the lower floor that does not form part of this listing which is used for storage . There will be no one staying in this area but your guests also do not have access to it.
