About this house rental
Welcome to Belton Park. If you want a stunning country estate with sleek interiors near a great town, this is it!
Built during the 1860s, this gorgeous Federal Colonial gentleman's farmhouse was sited to present beautiful distant views of The Vly and the Sundown Wild Forest. The compound is a cocoon within the chic historical town of Stone Ridge and gives guests a complete experience onsite while offering the full services of two great towns within a 5-10 minute drive.
Located on manicured acreage, guests can experience the ultimate in Hudson Valley living, with lawns, a heated pool, a pond, terraces, outdoor games, and stunning views, all before coming inside to enjoy many luxury features.
The house is exceptional, with original period detailing, tall doors, and gorgeous fenestration. Floors are wide plank, unavailable today, and perfectly preserved. But this is not a mansion stuck in the past. Belton Parks' owners have executed a world-class renovation and furnished the property with an international, magazine-worthy flair. The kitchen and bathrooms are temples to contemporary luxe, professional grade appliances, and materials, with soft touches such as Aesop products and thick spa towels. Bedrooms contain a sitting area, and the beds are swathed in Frette linen. While the house sleeps 20, it is designed in such an intimate way that smaller groups will not feel lost; indeed, a couple could enjoy the home and wallow in its spacious splendor.
Downstairs, the entertaining spaces exude a polished approach. Underfoot, Persian rugs ground Italian and French furnishings and numerous sitting areas dot the two large drawing rooms. The dining room, perfectly centrally placed, allows seating for 10, with additional space available. This main level also holds a guest bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, perfect for guests who do not wish to use stairs.
THE KITCHEN & MEALS
Meals will be a divine experience. The English kitchen has a dreamy layout, perfect for one chef or 5. There are professional appliances, far-reaching views, a well-stocked pantry, and almost every possible accouterment needed to concoct a fabulous meal.
It also has one of the best-equipped coffee stations, with a Nespresso, Expresso, Keurig, regular, French press, drip, and appliances for frothing and grinding. For cocktails, the kitchen also holds our special Upstate Place, 'All In Good Taste Libation Station,' a non-alcoholic, fun, full bar and cocktail tray set up to get any stay off to a marvelous start.
FAMILY & FUN
Like all Upstate Place properties, this home has a crib, highchair, baby bath, etc., to make the smallest guest's stay welcoming and easy. The house provides well for all activities: towels and picnic blankets for the pool and grounds, snowshoes for winter walks, snacks for nibbles, and propane and firewood for outdoor living.
Ideally, the house would suit a larger family, a group, or multiple couples vacationing together.

PLEASE NOTE -
Cancellation and Insurance: We encourage all our guests to purchase travel insurance, whether through the OTA when offered at the time of booking, or through a third party. We cannot make any exceptions to our cancellation policy.
Utility Outages: As Upstate New York can see its’ fair share of inclement weather and is primarily a tree rich area with overhead power lines, please know we do not assume responsibility for utility outages during your stay. If electric, water or Wi-Fi service is impacted, we do not refund. Of course, if an outage were to persist for longer than 8 hours we would allow a cancellation without penalty.
Weather: During the winter months, there may be ice, snow, and hazardous conditions. We recommend driving a vehicle with AWD or 4WD. Please ask about the plowing schedule for the house. Most driveways are plowed at or before 3” of accumulation.
Animals and Pests: The house is in a rural environment and surrounded by countryside, farms and wildlife. Although it’s wonderful to observe the eagles, deer, bears, and adorable chipmunks, it can also mean you will hear coyotes and foxes at night, and encounter the less cute mice, flies, snakes, ants, bees and ticks. There is very little to be done about it, but by keeping doors closed or screened and food in its appropriate storage, unwelcome guests will stay outside where they belong. All our properties benefit from scheduled pest control, but we are in a natural environment and we can not fortify the houses completely.
Cleaning Guarantee: We are very proud of our housekeeping team who go above and beyond. Because of their hard work and high professional standards, we are able to guarantee our cleaning to our guests. We take time stamped video and photos of the cleaned property and do not refund for any small issues found during a stay. Instead, should a guest feel that something is amiss or needs additional attention, we will gladly have a housekeeper attend the home to take care of it within 12 hours of an issue being reported.
This home may have weekly pool, lawn, and trash services as well as monthly pest control service. Service providers may access the exterior front yard, back yard, and pool deck during your stay to ensure the home is properly maintained.
Rental Agreement: Please know that we require all guests to sign a rental lease agreement.
This house has two levels and may not be suitable for guests who don’t wish to use stairs. However, it does have ground/ main level bedrooms and bathrooms.
Early check-in: When available, we love to allow our guests an early check-in to get your vacation started asap! Unfortunately, during peak times, this isn’t always possible. But please ask, we will always try.
Please respect all our house rules listed in the guidebook provided, as well as the privacy of this quiet community.

We had a fabulous 40th Birthday celebration for my daughter. It was a ladies only weekend and a perfect getaway. The pool, sauna, mountain views, fire pit, privacy and spaciousness created a wonderful experience. Everyone was in awe of the house - it was like stepping into a different time. It was beautiful, eclectic design, clean, plenty of supplies and there was outstanding service from the Upstate Team who oversee this property. The very few minor glitches we experienced (non working coffee pot), were immediately cared for. Will definitely keep this property in mind for a future event.!
