Great location, we had a fantastic view, food was great and Mel in the Spa was not only brilliant at her role but all over the hotel providing a very warm welcome and a beautiful smile. All of the team were helpful and welcoming.
The only issue was the design of the shower as the water was allowed to flow out of the shower. This aside, we will definitely stay again and would highly recommend a break at the Ibis Paignton.

An enjoyable stay at the Ibis Styles. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed (got a good sleep.) Good facilities & a descent size walk in shower. Great location, on the front opposite the pier. Breakfast was very good for self service, I enjoyed my Full English.
The only downsides: Expensive parking, no fridge in the room, AC lacked power to initially cool the room.
Would I return? ~ Yes! ~

The Ibis Styles Paignton Hotel offers a warm welcome with its exceptionally helpful, polite, and friendly staff, setting a positive tone right from the start.
Guests will find ample parking options nearby that won't break the bank. The breakfast, while affordably priced and offering a good variety, did have a small hiccup with the toaster incident, but such events are rare and handled professionally.
Although the hotel could benefit from some minor refurbishments, it maintains a standard of cleanliness that guests appreciate.
Its prime location adjacent to a picturesque beach adds to the charm, providing a serene backdrop for a safe and pleasant stay. Overall, the hotel delivers a comfortable experience with its commendable service and enviable location.

Clean, quiet and fairly accessible. Stayed the one night. Would visit again

This hotel was perfect. It's simple and elegant, I recommend a room with the sea view as the sunrise over the bay is simply beautiful. The breakfast was simple but had many options for fussy eaters. The area leaves a lot to desire but that's no reason to fault the review of the hotel.

Staff was lovely and hotel was clean. Perfect location as well

The hotel itself was great. Modern, and clean.
The ‘parking available’ is a little misleading as they seem to have about 20 spaces and allow yourself £15 a day parking costs.
We chose this place as it was highlighted as ‘Dog Friendly’, however unlike other hotels who provided dog beds, water bowls , they didn’t provide any, or even have a drinking bowl outside.
It was quite a mission to get a bowl of water to have in the room, so not really sure why they would charge £15 extra flconoated to what other places offered.
As a couple or a family I think it’s Perfect, but if you have a pooch there is probably better options around !

The property didnt help as asked for more pillows and they never gave them , when asked and the tv had really bad signal also gad to buy water, as was advised not yo use thr water to brush teeth ss problems in the area

Overall a nice hotel. Although this was a new hotel the TV didn’t work and the WIFI. Very poor when not in communal area.
Watch out at the bar tried as they tried to charge us doubles when only given single measures.

Very comfortable and staff very helpful and the hotel is in the perfect spot if you have a dog, as I have.

Really friendly staff, room good size, good storage and comfortable bed. Would be perfect with a refrigerator in the room. The breakfast was far superior to the Mercure next door from when we stayed a few months back.

In its price bracket there’s little to fault, but parking is limited and tight even off season.i paid for parking (£15/night) on checkin but wasn’t guaranteed parking. On checkout zi was chased for parking despite having paid. I have no other negative comments to make.

Had a very nice stay here, staff friendly & helpful, hotel very clean & rooms with iron & board included as well as the hairdrdryer & kettle. The only BIG downfall is the parking, or lack of it! They say parking is available but fail to inform you that you have to pay an extra £15 per night for the car & there is only 19 spaces for a hotel that has 428 rooms, you are not guaranteed a space even if you pay!! If you don’t travel by car then great place to stay

Warm and friendly greeting on arrival. New hotel so lovely and clean throughout. Room large but no bottled water or glasses for tap water. Large bathroom with good shower, however lacking shelving for shaving storage or tooth brush holder etc. Comfy bed, weird bed linen and mattress protector on the small side, making bed uncomfy. Good food from bar. No restaurant. Problems with draught beers also. But staff made up for all shortfalls. Well done to Sarah, Christa and Chester.

Stayed in room 412. Sleep massively disturbed by the water/heating/air con system that clanks nearly all through the night. A real shame, as the staff are all great and its a good location.
The rooms are never spotlessly clean for instance large amount of dust build up on shelves in wardrobe.
Part of the shower controls had broken off and not been replaced.
If you get a room away from the lifts/central controls its normally a good stay.
Does provide value for money, but prices as expected are starting to creep up.
They really, really need to fix the automatic front doors. 6 weeks now. It opens partially, stops, then moves at a snails pace. Very frustrating.

This is a brand new hotel - which is a great addition to Paignton. Check in went without a hitch so they seem to have fixed the previous issues ive encountered.
Rooms are very modern, well appointed but as this is an ibis hotel you only get two pillows, with one extra in the wardrobe.
The aircon/bathroom fan makes noise most of the night even when turned off and the bathroom light is off. It actually woke us at 6am.
Restaurant was undergoing some work during our stay so we didnt use the bar like we normally would, it was still open though.
There was a used toilet roll behind the toilet in the room, but can see how this would be easily missed.
The automatic front door is still broken - although im told they are awaiting a fix on this!
Lifts are tempremental and often dont register your card.
This hotel absolutely gives value for money, but isnt somewhere id stay for a relaxing break.

new building with some minor faults but nice and clean

We had a lovely 2-night break in this hotel. Its very new, modern and clean. The decor is all fresh and looks good. The staff are welcoming and friendly too. The room was nice and we enjoyed getting a coffee in the bar too.
Cons:
1.The only downsides were the price of car parking onsite (but everywhere else seeemed to be similar anyway).
2. The pillows were really thin so despite them providing a spare, we still had to ask for more.
3. The shower was unusable as it was scalding hot. We made do without it as we visited swimming baths, but this is potentially dangerous with kids etc.

Really nice rooms and excellent atmosphere and Really good and friendly and understanding staff

Last time i stayed at this hotel they could not find my prepaid booking. I had to pay again for a room and hotels.com got me a refund.
On my stay last night, which again is prepaid and prebooked i encountered issues. My booking was found but the receptionist advised i needed to still pay. I didnt. I showed clearly how i had booked and the payment being made. I was then advised on the ibis system it showed the bookjng had come via Expedia (i do not use them) it is very very frustrating that this site does not seem to have worked through its opening teething troubles.
The automatic front doors are still a problem, they open half way then stop and move very slowly - this is dangerous.
When we finally checked in to the room we found it to be dirty, as detailed in the picture. It looked like someone had spilled a drink on the bed side table.
However, on to the positives - as a new hotel the lobby areas are immaculate. The staff are all clearly new so busy learning but have all been pleasant.
The bathroom design leads to a very wet bathroom floor - but the shower was hot and had great water pressure.
The bed is comfy and id stay again, this place will easily achieve 5 stars if it can fix the basics.

View from room was over the sea. Lovely to get upto in the morning. Breakfast was also good. Freshly cooked full english or you could choose what you wanted. Then the normal cereal and crossiants. Tea, coffee and juices. Very friendly staff. Lovely stay.

Great location and all other things really but……….
The heating system in in desperate need of attention, though the temperature of the room suited us when the heating pump kicks in it cavitates the noise was so loud it kept us awake even though we didn’t get in till gone 3am!
