About this bed and breakfast
We are located at 500 North Street. The Bear's Den has a southern, street view. However, there is an outdoor deck with a spectacular view of the Mississippi River and our double-lot, flower garden. This room provides a Tempurpedic, King-sized mattress + a fold-out child's bed (children under 6-years - stay FREE!). The bathroom was added in 1920; it has all new plumbing; and is surfaced with original tile on the floor and in the shower. (The hot tub is only available to Penthouse guests on the third floor.)
Full "Award Winning Breakfast" is provided for all guests. We accomodate your requests for breakfast time and menu options.
Guests can stroll through Historic North Hill with homes built in the 1800s to Mosquito Park & North Hill Park & Snake Alley (The Crookedest Street in the World) & venture downtown to historic museums; fine dining; entertainment venues; & unique shops ... The best part of spending a night in the Bear's Den is how quiet it is in a most comfortable Tempurpedic bed.
Family members and friends can also stay in the Berry Patch with a second booking - across the hallway with a Twin-sized Posturpedic mattress with private, full bathroom with shower/tub.
