About this house rental
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay in the woods. Sleds, snow and fun!
Nestled on a secluded hill, surrounded by trees, and overlooking a jaw-dropped panoramic vista of the Solitude Mountain, this modern cabin offers a tranquil vacation setting paired with luxury amenities - the perfect city escape for you and your loves ones!
Much on the inside of the cabin has been remodelled! The suite features a magnificent window so you can wake up with your first glance at the sunrise, OR fall asleep to a high view of glimmering distanced lights! (Some guests call it the ultimate sunrise yoga spot!) The kitchen features quartz countertops and the full appliance suite for those who unwind with cooking! And for those who recharge with serene solitude, it also features a quiet sitting/reading area with views up going up the mountain.
The outside is the most entertaining feature You may not even want to leave! Be sure to at least give yourself a dedicated day to spend exploring the land of many levels and many doors.... and unwinding on comfortable chairs on the wraparound deck with nothing but mountain sounds and mountain views. The land itself has so much history and uniqueness!
If you're arriving in the winter, no need to rent a car, take the solitude Skii bud and ask them to drop you at the silver fork lodge. We're a 5-10-minute walk down the hill from there. When you're ready to head to the resorts walk back up to the lodge or mailboxes and thumb for a lift. People in the canyon is super nice and will get you there in no time.
We have parking in front of the house. If you'll have more than one car, please communicate 48 hours in advance so we can schedule a clearing with the snow plow company. You may need to coordinate parking with other guests in the building.
This is a secluded mountain resort. While I live about 30 minutes away and can help when necessary you'll want to plan ahead and bring supplies with you before going up the mountain.
Mountain men and women that are friendly and kind.
November through May You will need AWD or 4WD most days just to be allowed up the canyon to the resorts. If you don't have either, you might get by with chains but I wouldn't count on it even with experiences snow drivers. You will get stuck with 2wd.
I keep the main floor apartment for myself and friends. You might see or hear people from time to time.
The Following is a required notice by the city

There is a second kitchen on the main level that is not photographed. In this kitchen we often keep food items in the fridge for when friends and family stay at the cabin before hitting the slopes. If you forgot to bring food up the canyon and are in a pinch feel free to eat some just let us know so we can replenish. No guarantee on freshness as it may be weeks between stays.
