Everything was as described. It was clean and an overall enjoyable place to stay

The location of this house was ideal for our Annual tasting at Buffalo Trace. We also enjoyed the close proximity to downtown Frankfort. We loved the roominess and historic charm of this almost 100yr old house. The neighborhood is super quiet and the people were very friendly. We’d definitely recommend this house.to anyone who is looking to stay in the area.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here...the host was so good with communicating back to me with all my questions. The snacks and coffee was a great addition to our stay. Our beds were so comfortable and temperature in house was perfect, especially being 92 degrees plus during our stay. The only thing was the location has alot of rundown homes, but we felt very safe and neighbors were friendly. We all in all absolutely enjoyed 702 Kentucky Ave!!!

We stayed here during our Bourbon Trail adventures. The house and host are fantastic and the location is convenient to several of the distilleries we visited (Buffalo Trace, Castle & Key, Whiskey Thief). The house was well stocked with everything you’d want for a group getaway. Book with confidence!

I booked this VRBO for a couple of days of distillery tours with two friends. The home itself is spacious and as clean as a whistle. All of the rooms in this home are large and nicely done - it’s very clean and you’ll have plenty of room to spread out. The game room is a nice touch, and we played at least one game of pool each day of our visit. The home’s location in relation to downtown Frankfort is quite good. It’s a quick drive across the Kentucky river to get into downtown and all that it has to offer. We were very comfortable during our stay. However, there were three downsides to this location. The first is that the neighborhood where the house is located is pretty run down with many ramshackle dwellings. We felt safe there, but it was a bit of a shock to pull into the neighborhood at first. Secondly, although downtown is within easy walking distance from the house, getting there requires walking across a busy roadway bridge, so we chose to drive into downtown. And finally, there is significant roadway noise as the neighborhood is close to two busy thoroughfares. It helped to run the house fan continuously at night. All in all, the pros outweighed the cons for us, so my overall rating is 4 our of 5 stars. We consistently commented on how nice the interior of the home was and how comfortable it was to stay there.

My wife, myself, and another couple booked this house for the first leg of our tour of the bourbon trail. It was neat, tidy, and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. It is a very close drive to several major distilleries. It is also a convenient drive to some very good local restaurants. The hosts were extremely accommodating. The pool table and slot machine gave us hours of entertainment while winding down in the evenings. Not a typical tourist neighborhood, especially for being riverfront, but very quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location. House is old but finished very nice. Bedrooms are large and clean. The only concern I would share is that the house was cold. To be fair, it was 5 degrees outside with a wind chill below zero.
Communication with the owner was very good.
The pool table was a hit with all the guys after a day sipping bourbon.

It was a perfect location to visit Frankfort. Close to everything and the house had a lot of beautiful character. It blends the old with new technology well

Our stay was great!! The old house was just what we were looking for in our weekend getaway for the Marine Corps Birthday. There was plenty of room to stretch out and watch the games on Saturday. Although, some of the technology was a little tricky for the old timers we were able to figure it out. Downtown and the local establishments were a short walk over the bridge no problem at all. The house and accommodations were great. Thanks again- Eric
