We stayed at Gerda’s for a night on a very long family road trip. The place was very clean and super comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would go back!

Upstairs bedrooms were too hot even with a fan

Communication with the owners was great, however the property was a real disappointment. We had booked 2 nights & after arriving very late decided to stay only one night - the second night, we booked a hotel room.

Stayed 2 nights after moving out of our house in the Soo. Rental is near Algoma steel and has everything you might need nearby. The house is cute, very clean and in a quiet area. It has everything you need for a short or long stay, including a washer dryer. There’s good closet space. Beds were comfortable. There’s no air conditioning although that’s not usually a problem in northern Ontario.
There are a few wonky DIY problems. The fridge door can’t open all the way because its been put in right up against the wall. The stairs to the upper level are not of an even height making it tricky to step.
All in all, a very nice stay. I would definitely recommend it.

Our family was on a multi-day camping trip and needed a night to refuel, rest up, and explore the city. The location is in a quiet residential neighborhood with a private back yard. The house is just what we needed- no frills, but updated and tastefully decorated. Communication with the owners was easy, and it was just what our family of four needed - a respite!

We rented this house to be our base camp for a weekend trip to visit LSSU. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The house is in a modest neighborhood conveniently close to the bridge. I thought the price-point was fair and I would rent this house again.
