This house is perfect for 8 people, plenty of room, loved the screened in porch every morning for coffee. The house was well mantained and everything worked great. The owner's were fantastic and communication was awesome. If we come back to Galena we are staying here. Thank you!!

Overall it was nice. Plenty of room. Good location. Well stock with kitchen necessities. Problems getting all the jets to work in hot tub. No firewood when arrived but they took care of it. Could use a good cleaning. Very expensive so expected perfect, but it was not. Had some good and some not so good.

What a great house for a wonderful Christmas family reunion! The beds were comfortable, the house was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and supplies we needed for meals. The neighborhood was beautiful. Highly recommend the Collection Vacation Homes.

My husband and I rented The Green on Southridge for us, our two grown kids and their families. The house was set up perfectly for our situation, 10 people and two dogs in all. We enjoyed the hot tub and the firepit in the backyard, the pool and gym at the Owner's club building, as well as strolling around the charming town of Galena. The grounds at this house are gorgeous! It's situated in a heavily wooded neighborhhood with rolling hills and ravines. We took a lot of hikes down the streets and walking trails. We also had a surprise visit from friends who were at the resort on Thanksgiving night. Lots of laughs and fun were had all weekend!

This was our second stay in one of David's homes. I wish I could give it 10 stars! Our family of 6 adults and 4 preschoolers gathered there for a long weekend. We were able to spread out on 3 different floors but spent most of our time in the comfortable family room and screened in porch. We have stayed in many VRBO rentals and David's homes are exceptional and ultra clean. So many nice touches that make you feel welcome include delicious coffee, a well stocked kitchen with many extras, a snack basket and wine. There is a deck and fire pit area to enjoy the outdoors. The children enjoyed the sweet little reading nook and loved watching the wild turkeys on the golf course. There was a miscommunication with the cleaning crew about our arrival date but David took care of it immediately which is another reason we continue to return . Thanks for another great stay!

6 friends from nursing school gather every 2 years from across the country somewhere & we selected Midwest this year. Wonderful time of year; good restaurants & interesting shopping. Great home to relax & catch up on our lives together. Very comfortable accommodation with everything you could ask for. Owner himself was very prompt with answers & fixing a small snafu. Would certainly stay again.

Had a great time, the house was perfect for all of us and had everything we needed. Having the golf course in the backyard was awesome, we sat and had coffee in the morning and watch as they came by!!! Location was good, close to everything!!! David was very easy to work with and always easily to get a hold of. Jerry and Kelly were also easy to get a hold of and showed us everything about the house when we arrived. Would stay there again when we visit Galena!!!

Everything was just as described and better! We were a group of "old" college friends (9 of us) who meet periodically for fun and frolic! We mostly just enjoyed each other's company, but the cleanliness and amenities in the house made our stay very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable, great quality in linens and other items which made us feel very much at home. Also, a basket of snacks and bottle of wine was a very welcoming feature. Owner and his friend helping as a contact were very congenial and pleasant with each contact. Definitely highly recommend for a very pleasant stay.

A fantastic stay in the beautiful Galena Territory. Tons of stuff to do from everyone ages 8 to 80. The house itself is beautiful, clean and well-appointed. The owner has thought of everything that you might want and provided it. The kitchen is the best equipped of any rental that I have ever stayed at. Really appreciated that every bedroom had an accompanying bathroom. Great hot tub. Beautiful deck and screened in porch. A nice hiking trail right outside the back door. Loved having access to the Galena Territory pool and horse stables for the kids. And downtown Galena is a close drive and a fun little gem of a town with many great shops, restaurants and history. The owner was super helpful and accommodating, too! Would definitely stay here again.

There was also a comfy family room in the lower level with a game table & TV. It was nice to send the children downstairs so we could have "adult time" on the main level. We stayed at this property while attending a family reunion that was being held in the Galena Territories.
Our host was very engaged with us from the moment we booked our stay. He helped us confirm that his home was the right place for our family. As we approached our rental dates, our host sent extensive materials about the property and the area including restaurants and golf lists. He also included property instructions and packing lists. For example, we knew that the property had both a drip coffee pot and a Keurig machine, so that we could pack appropriately.
When we arrived, we were greeted by our hosts neighbor and friend who showed us every light switch and window blind in the property. We were also instructed on how to maintain the water quality in the hot tub during our stay. We have rented through VRBO many times, but this was the most personal greeting we have ever received.
The property is meticulous. Our host provided new bar soap, hand soap, and dixie cups at every sink. The kitchen is well stocked to serve all the guests and then some. Our host provided snacks, a welcome bottle of wine, and coffee.
The beds are comfortable, the towels were thick, and all cleaning products and trash bags were provided.
The description of the property and surrounding amenities is very accurate.
One of the greatest features of this property is the direct access to paved walking trails and the Eagle Ridge Resort (3 minutes away).
We will definitely stay here again.

Our stay was everything we wanted it to be. Having someone greet us was helpful especially having them show us how to operate the whirlpool. The house has everything we could want. The kitchen is well appointed with all the appliances and tools needed to prepare any meal/dessert. Having a bathroom for every bedroom was a treat. The host has thought of everything! The wildlife is fun to watch, the wild turkeys are always a treat to see. The host was available for any questions we had during our stay. We definitely recommend this property,

We were a group of 7 long-time friends gathering for our yearly reunion. The house was perfect for us. We loved the screened in porch, hot tub, comfy couches and beds. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the equipment we could ever need. The wine, snacks, coffee and tea were a lovely touch. The home had everything we needed, was very clean and nicely furnished. We would definitely stay again. The only very small inconvenience was that a house manager meets you to let you in, instead of giving you a key code to let yourself in and we had to wait about 10 minutes for them to show up even though we called them a half hour before arrival, as requested. Not a huge deal, but we treasure every second of our stay, so we were excited to get into the home.

Our family wanted to get a quick vacation in before we all had to go in a million directions, so we booked our stay in Galena for only two nights. It was important that things run smoothly, so we could get the most out of our stay.
The house was in magnificent order. Of the three houses we've stayed in over the past three years, this one was the best - the kitchen was fully organized; had complimentary coffee; snacks; complimentary bottle of wine. I also liked that a property person let us into the house, as we were able to know the ins and outs of the property without having to search things out for ourselves.
David was very prompt, positive, and professional throughout the booking and stay process. We will rent again from him.

Property was a lovely getaway as we celebrated our daughter's wedding in Galena. It was clean and quite relaxing. Owner was great in terms of communication and offered many resources to help us plan our stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Galena area.

David’s home was perfect! The home has everything you would need from a well stocked kitchen to each bedroom having a bathroom to the hot tub to the hiking trail starting right behind the home. Also enjoyed the town of Galena with shopping, tours, and great restaurants. Thanks for a wonderful time!
