My stay at the San Felipe was perfect. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the staff efficient, very friendly and helpful. And the location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the old historic town of Panama City. And although there are a number of restaurants to choose from in the area, be sure to eat at least once at the hotel restaurant, Enigma, because the food was delicious! I highly recommend San Felipe Hotel. And they have other locations in other parts of Panama and Medellin, Colombia. I haven’t tried these, but I’ve no doubt they are equally 5 stars.

All the workers couldn’t have been more helpful, happy, and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and any amenities we needed they had for us. San Felipe is centrally located but once in your room it is quiet and calm. We were thrilled to be staying here. Best choice!

Excellent location in the old city walkable to lots of restaurants and shops. Very clean, large room and friendly staff. Good price for the room. The hotel in is 2 buildings right across from each other. There is a restaurant and also a rooftop bar. Nice robes in the bathroom but could use towel bars. Only draw back bathroom has frosted sliding door which lights up the whole room at night. Definitely recommend this property.

Top quality mattress, linen, towels. Friendly staff. Beautifully decorated room with a large bathtub. Breakfast cost extra but was absolutely delicious served in a gorgeously decorated restaurant next door to the hotels.

This is a new hotel and there were a few kinks (eg: safe had not been installed in my room when I arrived) but overall I would rate it as outstanding. Staff were amazing in the hotel, the bar and restaurant across the street. Food was very good. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again and recommend to my friends.

What a great find. Perfect central location for old town Panama. Spotless high end room. Wonderful friendly staff (Daniel et al). Good connections to outside businesses (eg tour agencies, restaurants etc). One of those hotels that make your "global forever list" that you keep in your back pocket for the next time you are in town. Speaking as someone who for the last 30 years has spent 100 hotel nights a year on the road, I would put this hotel in my all time top 20 and in my top 10 for city locations.

This newly renovated hotel is in the Lyon’s building, circa 1878. Originally constructed around an interior courtyard, the restoration preserves the origional French colonial architecture. Rooms are modern and tasteful. Overall, the restoration is first rate. The building across the street contains additional rooms, restaurant and rooftop bar/lounge with stunning views of Casco Viejo. The hotel is conveniently located in Casco Viejo and all points of interest in the old city are easily walkable. Many restaurants, bars, shops, and other luxury hotels are in the neighborhood. Streets are safe night and day. I would caution walking past Calle 10 at night towards the Santa Anna neighborhood - which is an impoverished slum. Walking through Santa Anna during the day seems safe. The nearest metro station is “Paza cinco de mayo” about a 20 minute walk from the hotel. It will require you however to walk through Santa Anna. My suggestions to improve the guest experience at the hotel are: 1. Ensure coffee pods and water are refreshed each day in the rooms 2. Ensure all towels are replaced Nevertheless, staff are helpful and charming. Definitely recommend the property.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel San Felipe. It is easy to see the property is very modern with great attention to detail from the moment you walk in the lobby. The location is phenomenal and the room was comfortable and inviting. We were pleasantly surprised that there was no discernible noise despite having a room with a balcony overlooking the main road. The only “negative” I can think of is the fact that parking is a block or two over. You go into it knowing it is Casco Viejo so that’s not necessarily surprising but after a full day of travel it is a little off-putting to have to first find parking and then walk back to the hotel. Overall I would readily recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area and would stay there again myself.

It was like a breath of fresh air when we walked through the doors of San Felipe. The staff was welcoming and friendly, it was quiet and peaceful after a hectic day of travel. We went to their restaurant across the street where the food was delicious and Daniel was very attentive making sure we had everything we needed. We also went to the rooftop bar which was gorgeous- beautiful views of the city.

I would of liked a place to put my things in the bathroom and more light. Small room. Netflix, on TV did not worked. Please put additional toilet paper in bathroom and a place to hang the small towels.

This is a new hotel. While there were a few hiccups, over all we had a great stay. The staff couldn't have been better. My husband had a bad fall on our first day that required a visit to the ER. The staff asked after his welfare all week. Our shower leaked in our first room and they upgraded us to a much bigger room. All the rooms could use more towel racks, hooks and hangers. Breakfast was excellent as was the one dinner we ate there. Very convenient location.
