About this house rental
This beautiful historic house has everything you need to make your travels smooth & enjoyable - but its the location that truly makes it special! Walk to the nearby award-winning restaurants, breweries & bakeries for some of the best food in the Twin Cities. Explore unique shops like kid-favorite “Wild Rumpus BookStore” (live animals, toys and lounging!) or step outside to enjoy nearby parks & lakes (don’t miss Linden Hills Park right across the street, perfect for some bocce ball & tennis in the summer or ice skating in the winter!).
The House:
The main level consists of a beautifully updated kitchen with everything you need to let out your inner chef, including a Vitamix blender, microwave, toaster, instant pot, s'mores maker, and drip/ K cup coffee makers (in addition to the usual large appliances). The dining room's comfy upholstered dining chairs will invite you to slow down and enjoy that delicious meal! After you're done, maybe you'll relax the cozy living room with and watch some tv with some hot chocolate by the fireplace. Or perhaps you'll head over to the sunroom and play some new games while watching the sunset.
When the day is done, the upstairs bedrooms will encourage you to unwind. There are three bedrooms, each with their own clean closet, full length mirror, sumptuous bedding, and blackout curtains/shades. Bedrooms 1 & 2 have king beds as well as desks for remote workers. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed and a trundle twin bed that can be set up if needed. There is a lovely private bonus room with a comfy sofa and TV off of bedroom 3 (with blackout curtains - the perfect movie spot!). The full bathroom upstairs is conveniently located between all of the bedrooms and is stocked with boutique soaps, shampoo and conditioner.
If you need to do some laundry during your trip, we have you covered. The basement is original and unfinished, but clean, and houses the newer washer and dryer, iron/ board/ steamer, and extra cleaning supplies.
There is also a two car garage that we welcome you to use (a must in Minnesota!), as well as a fenced backyard with a patio (grill and furniture available May - October), the best spot to hang out in the warmer months!!
Neighborhood:

While the house itself is lovely, its the location that truly makes this place special. Do note, this charming historic craftsman was built in the 1910's and has undergone extensive renovation, but it is not new! Please expect "old building" things like squeaky or sloped floors. Note that the water has a yellow tint briefly if not used for some time (not harmful), but it quickly flushes out within seconds. If you prefer, there is filtered water in the fridge. Also note, we have the occasional ladybug or boxelder bug in the house. These are super common in MN and are not harmful, but if you absolutory hate bugs, this is something to consider.

As promised, this home was in a fantastic location (centrally located and easily walkable) AND it has the most high-end finishings of any rental I’ve ever seen. It’s like you’re in a Room and Board/C&B catalog! Furniture and beds were like new and VERY comfortable. The linens, towels, pillows were nicer than the ones we have at home! Brand new washer/dryer. Super kid friendly with things like sippy cups, kid plates/silverware, stroller, etc. Plenty of toys, games and books for kids and adults - even tennis rackets! Kitchen fully stocked, including all the basics like olive oil, condiments, etc. The rooms are huge and the house is very spacious. Host Amber was incredibly accommodating and ready to do anything to make sure our family of 5 had a great stay. Only possible con is only one toilet and it’s on the second floor. Really wasn’t a big issue for us - we would definitely stay here again!
