The bedrooms consist of a ground-floor king-size, a ground-floor double with en-suite cloakroom, and a double with TV, along with a bathroom and a ground-floor shower room. Outside there is a rear multi-level garden with lawn, patio, and furniture, and a private driveway for three cars. One well-behaved dog welcomed but sorry no smoking. You'll find a shop in 0.4 miles, a pub in 0.3 miles, and Lake Windermere in 0.6 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Use Brantfell Lodge as your base to explore Cumbria. Note: There are steps in the garden.

Brockhole, which offers high wire tree top experiences, is three miles away, and the historic villages of Grasmere, Ambleside and Troutbeck are a short drive away. There is also a variety of watersports on offer for the more energetic at marine centres along the lake.
