Welcome to Camp Moonpenny- a 3 house, 6 acre property in the Sears Point area of Chatham. While only 2 miles from Main Street attractions and popular beaches, this house also offers so much to do you might decide just to stay close to home- play on land and water all day, enjoy sunset cocktails overlooking Nantucket Sound and Stage Harbor Lighthouse or even catch your own clams and oysters off the shore. There's use of an on-site har-tru clay tennis court, bocce & horseshoe courts; a boathouse deck for picnics or cocktails; access to Oyster Pond River (near Stage Harbor) for dog friendly walks, shellfishing, sand castle building, bird watching and more. Want to explore Chatham by water? Bring or rent kayaks/SUPs with storage steps from the shore or make a special arrangement to use our dock and bring your own boat (up to 20ft). We stayed over the Memorial Day weekend, four adults and four kids (all under 5). House is well maintained and had enough space for everyone. Kitchen nicely stocked for all cooking needs. Owner was easy to message with before we arrived on any needs we had.
The yard is great for kids to run and play games. The tennis court, horseshoe area, etc are super close to the house (a 1 min walk from the driveway). Kids enjoyed seeing some local wildlife (rabbits, birds, and two big turkeys) nearby.
House is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood area near the water. There is a little public beach with easy parking, bathrooms, outdoor shower just a 7min drive or 30 min walk from the house. Downtown Chatham only a couple mins past the public beach.
