Margate is buzzing, we have so much happening in our town. From concerts at Dreamland, The Turner Gallery, The Old Town, fabulous restaurants, bars, music venues and cafes popping up all over the place. The art scene is really strong, inspired by Tracey Eminen, you can spend hours looking around the many art shops and galleries located around Margate.
Cliftonville is officially the coolest neighbourhood to live (TimeOut) and you reach this area within about a 5 minutes stroll. Here you'll find Uber cool cafes, a treasure trove of reclamation shops, furniture shops and Aldi.
Oh and the beach, Margate Main Sands - 5 minutes walk. Just as easy to get to are the many other beaches dotted along the coastline. Look up Louisa Bay, much quieter in peak season and beautiful.
Margate is truly within it's renaissance, you will find plenty to do in and around the town. It's also the perfect place to explore the Kent coast and countryside, from Broadstairs to Canterbury.
Our house is literally in the heart of Margate, with it's bonus off street parking (pretty unusual in Margate) you can park up and reach everywhere on foot.
