Every moment of our trip was blissful, from being greeted and taken on a tour of the hotel, then escorted to our room, it made us feel welcomed and at home. The attention to detail throughout the property is exquisite, and that isn’t even mentioning the jaw dropping view and surroundings. Robes for comfort, chocolates to enjoy in room, a private residents lounge for games and reading, beach towels ready to use, beautiful furnishings and high end hair and body products to use in the gorgeous bathroom. No stone was left unturned, it was amazing. The staff were all so kind and greeted us throughout our stay.
I have nothing to add or improve.

Everything. This hotel has had a renovation. It is incredible. On arrival the receptionist provided a guided tour and the chef had baked a plate of chocolate treats. This sets the tone. All the staff were friendly and asked if there was anything needed, even the cleaners. The hotel manager came to breakfast and asked everyone individually if they were ok and enjoying their stay. Everything is immaculate and high quality. Beautiful interiors, incredible guest areas, big windows to see the sea. Sensational location, amazing views and delicious food. This place is expensive but worth every penny. And the beds are so comfy.
That it was only a 1 night stay!

The location is incredible. To have a sea view room with a terrace that looked out on to the bay was a little piece of paradise. The hotel itself is just stunning as a result of its recent refurbishment, and we loved all of the extra little touches such as the macarons and brownies in our room, fresh milk, cold water and chocolate treats in the fridge, and of course a robe and slippers. The double shower was incredible - super spacious and powerful - definitely the best hotel shower we’ve ever had! We were staying here as we were attending a wedding nearby and the hotel kindly offer a free transport service which we were able to book in advance and saved us organising taxi rides. The breakfast was also fantastic - a great variety of continental and a freshly prepared hot breakfast made to order that was delicious. We also booked a meal in the hotel restaurant, The Rock, for the first evening of our stay, and the food was just gorgeous.
There are some minor service issues, and whilst these didn’t detract from our stay overall as we loved the location, our room and the food, we felt it was worth mentioning by way of constructive feedback.
We sat a little too long with empty drinks glasses during our meal on the Friday night, which resulted in my husband going to the bar to order, which was noticed by the front of house who was apologetic. Similarly, once we had been given the dessert menu, it took a really long time before anyone came back to take our order. Overall, we had a lovely experience - the setting is beautiful, we weren’t in a rush to be anywhere else and the food was outstanding, we just didn’t feel that the service was as attentive as you would expect when paying upwards of £200 for a meal. Likewise, it was a long wait before anyone came to take our hot breakfast orders on both mornings, and there were little things not quite right as a result of orders not being written down - for example on the first morning I was given scrambled instead of poached eggs, and on the second day my husband had asked for no tomato and white toast but he got tomato and no toast. Again, whilst we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and the quality of the food was excellent, attention to detail and efficient service (especially as the restaurant was quiet on both breakfast occasions) would make the experience faultless.
On the first night, we asked for an iron and ironing board so that my husband could press his shirt for the wedding the next day, and reception said one would be sent up. Later on, a knock on the door came and we were informed the ironing board was in a different hotel, so we said we would wait until the morning. After breakfast, it still hadn’t arrived and we left at 11:30 for the wedding.
These are little things - and overall we had a really wonderful time, these are just tiny improvements that would have made the stay perfect!
