The Lush Green El Verde Villa is a gated Puerto Rican Style Villa located on a hilltop near the end of a cul-de-sac. Overlooking El Yunque National Rainforest, just 20 mins to San Juan airport & old San Juan, 5 miles from rainforest and breathtaking local beaches, the property has a private hiking path that meets Espiritu Santo River, & a myriad of tropical plants & fruit trees to enjoy. IMPORTANT! Bring bug spray, you’re coming to the rainforest and you’ll need protection! This has a quiet and peaceful vibe being that it is mostly an older community. You'll see neighbors on walks every morning and hear sounds of the rainforest and maybe some dogs barking. If you decide to go on a neighborhood walk we advise you to bring a walking stick just in case of stray dogs. We ask that guests strive to not play loud music at night to help keep the peace. You'll have access to all parts of the property aside from the two other units, one is upstairs, the other is the separate side unit located towards the backyard. Located essentially in the El Yunque Rainforest you really get to be immersed into the local experience of rainforest living in this quiet neighborhood. This unit is on the main floor near the carport. All units on the property have private trail access to El Espiritu Santo River in the backyard. Renting a car is the best option for getting around in this area since it is a little bit out of town. Uber does work here but the availability can be lower and public transit is not as readily accessible.
