About this cottage rental
The Old School Hall at Loveston, is one of four cottages including Loveston School Cottage, which has been wonderfully converted from the original school in the rural hamlet of Loveston. Set in wonderful rolling countryside, it is just 7 miles from the beautiful seaside village of Saundersfoot with its golden sandy beaches.Four steps lead up to this holiday cottage, comfortably furnished throughout with solid oak furniture and practical wood and tiled floors throughout the ground floor. Some original features of the building have been retained, adding character. The light and airy open-plan living space has a luxurious corner sofa to relax on with French doors opening to a small balcony to the front, sit and relax here with a coffee or a glass of wine on a summer’s evening while you soak up the super views over the fields. Enjoy meals around the family dining table prepared in the large well-equipped, fitted, kitchen with breakfast bar. This opens to the rear, enclosed, south facing garden with a sheltered paved patio and steps to the lawn, a real sun trap. The original well, secure now, makes a pretty feature. Children and dogs will enjoy using the enclosed grassed playing field, where they can run and play, a communal space located across the shared car park. Stairs lead out of the living space to the pretty bedrooms above nestling in the eaves most have super rural views.Conveniently located for exploring, this beautiful area is cross-crossed by footpaths so perfect for walking and cycling enthusiasts. The picturesque Cleddau estuary is nearby, the bird and wildlife will be sure to delight, sailers and kayakers can take advantage of this sheltered tidal estuary with its many slipways, there are a number of sleepy villages lining its banks, largely untouched by time with pubs and cafes where you can enjoy refreshments, including Cresswell Quay, the Lawrenny Arms, Lawrenny Tearooms and Martletwy Vineyard. Within a short walk there is a small grocery store with limited opening hours selling basic essentials, while in the neighbouring Jeffreyston is a village pub serving food or enjoy a meal at Charlies restaurant or for a real treat, a spa treatment both, located at The Croft Holiday Caravan Park in Reynalton.There are a choice of family attractions all within a short drive including Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm, Heatherton World of Activities and Manor House Wildlife Park. For keen golfers, enjoy a round at Heronsbrook Golf Course. The bustling market town of Narberth is nearby, explore its independent shops, restaurants, galleries, cafes and antique market. Alternatively, head to the coast, Saundersfoot is less than 7 miles away, spend your days on its glorious sandy beaches or head for the medieval walled town of Tenby, with its quaint cobbled streets and picturesque harbour.
