Skylark Cottage is a beautiful, detached, modern house set in the quiet hamlet of Fachelich, just 1 mile from the tiny City of St Davids, offering wonderful views over the fields with glimpses of the coast and sea.Immaculately and thoughtfully furnished with the guests comfort in mind, it is stylishly finished with a seaside theme to get you in the holiday mood, there is practical hard flooring throughout the ground floor of this light and spacious house. The modern, fitted, kitchen/diner with vaulted ceiling is perfect for family cooking and meals together, bi-fold doors open to the garden or relax in the welcoming dual-aspect sitting room which also gives access to the garden. The woodburning stove is perfect for cosying around on wintery evenings. The utility room is a useful space for all your wet weather and walking gear. Stairs lead up to the bedrooms above, you will appreciate how close you are to the coast with sea glimpses over the fields from the family bedroom and double bedroom, all the bedrooms are beautifully furnished with quality linen and the light and airy feel making them welcoming retreats. The garden wraps around the house with a lawn and paved terrace where you can dine alfresco on a summer’s evening, soaking up the view over the fields behind.Keen walkers and cyclists will be in their element, the area abounds with footpaths and quiet country lanes, while the bird and wildlife will amaze. Your nearest beach is Caerfai, take to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to explore St Brides Bay fully and really appreciate this stunning rugged coastline on foot. St Davids with its excellent shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants is only 1 mile away, a visit to the Cathedral and Bishops Palace is a must, while a boat trip from St Justinians to Ramsey Island, a nature reserve, is sure to delight especially in September to see the seal pups. The famous Whitesands Beach is a little further on, popular with families with its seasonal beachside café, it also attracts surfers both beginners and professionals alike or in the opposite direction is the picturesque harbour village of Solva and the long sandy beach of Newgale with its beachside pub and café.A wonderful holiday home, perfect for families and couples, you are sure to relax from the moment you arrive.Cot and highchair on request.
