About this house rental
Nicely appointed private bedroom/bath in a friendly home - please read entire description. Next to Pismo Beach, Oceano Dunes, Cal Poly, shopping Pismo outlets, great dining, wine tasting, Avila's dog beach, and outdoor activities. Easy freeway access and off-street parking. Enjoy the backyard, patio, our own Monarch Butterfly habitat. There's a fire pit for evening chats. Resident dogs provide you with all the love you need or leave you to enjoy your privacy. Will consider a dog – please contact for details and to make arrangements.
The guest bedroom is located at one end of the home and the private bathroom is directly across from it. No running down a hallway or through the house to get to the bathroom late at night! A privacy screen ensures that you will feel like you're in a retreat. I put blackout curtains in the guest room, so rest and sleep in as long as you like. The neighborhood is quiet.
Although you will be sharing my home, you will feel like you have your own space and we will completely respect your privacy.
There's a small refrigerator and a TV in the bedroom. The TV is loaded with everything you need, including local channels, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Disney Plus, and Netflix.
Ready to get out for an adventure and you're new to the area? I'm a Native of this area and I love my community! I have been collecting menus and local magazines to give you plenty of ideas for things to do. This is an area that where you can find something for everyone! Let's talk before your arrival and I will do my best to help you find some options based on what you love! I can reach out to my friends for help too! Yes, that Clydesdale I'm on is local and you can ride, too! Whale watching, wine tasting, picnics, hiking, or just relaxing. You are coming to the right place!
ACCESS:
You are welcome to use the backyard patio at any time, watch TV in the living room, dine at the large kitchen island - make yourself at home.
When I am home, you are welcome to be a part of my family (me and the dogs!) and join us in the main living area by the fireplace or sit at the counter and share wine, conversation or watch a movie together. I love to live vicariously through my guests if you like to share! I'm also very good at reading the "I want to be alone" signals.
Please give me a little advance notice before using the barbecue or before preparing a meal in the kitchen. I want to be sure I get everything you need for the BBQ. I also cook and would like to be sure I’m out of your way in the kitchen. Hey, let's share a meal and get to know each other! Do you like wine? How about a local brew or local whisky?
INTERACTIONS:
I'm usually on-site in my office or puttering around in the yard during the day. I will be available if you need anything. My bedroom is at the opposite end of the house and I go quietly to my room to watch TV with my dogs in the evening, or we sit on the patio and enjoy the outdoors with friends.
Your guests are welcome to join us! If you want to use the patio and barbecue on your own, please let me know so we can be sure to be out of your way!
We can't wait to greet you!

I can’t say enough about our stay. The property was gorgeous, both inside and outside. We had a comfortable bedroom and bathroom as well as the use of the kitchen and living room. Rebecca was so welcoming to us and our dog. She treated us with such kindness and respect and she loved our dog. We ate a meal together and even went to a farmers market in SLO. Becky is very knowledgeable about the area and had many recommendations. Her home is in an area where you can take interesting walks for yourself or with your dogs. Yes, we highly recommend this accommodation.

Enjoying the weekend exploring Pismo beach, Solvang, Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande Village and even their little bit of this town in Grover Beach. The host was very nice and friendly, she has some dogs but they are well trained and she was very respectful of our privacy. It was nice running into her as we had great conversations and she gave us so many ideas of things to do around town. Top Host for sure and everything offered was accurately described in the listing. It was a pleasure staying at her place. She got it down to the smallest detail to have complimentary water bottles and some beer in our room fridge. Loved our stay!

This was our first time staying at a vacation property with the host on-site. We had the greatest experience! The host was so accommodating and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We had plenty of privacy when we needed it, but truly enjoyed our conversations with her over the weekend. We can't wait to come back and visit some more!

Our stay was pleasant. The only thing I feel that the listing should advise is that the property is occupied by the owner so you are staying in her home & don’t have the property to yourself. Otherwise the owner is very pleasant & clean!!!

Rebecca is the perfect host! She makes sure you are comfortable and she is very helpful with recommendations for places to eat and visit. Her home is very cozy and clean. The backyard and garden is a great view and is perfect for relaxing. My husband and I will be staying at Rebecca’s home again. I recommend this home. 5 stars for me!
