High quality and super convenient to everything.

Every staff member was very helpful and friendly. A special thank you to Marcus at the front desk.

The entire hotel staff was very helpful and kindly, since arrival until luggage storing after checkout. During my stay I had a problem with the room air conditioning and they promptly moved me to another one where it worked perfectly. I will certainly stay again when I return to Philadelphia.

We were staying at the hotel as I was running the Philadelphia Marathon, and for that, the location is great. Short distance to the start/finish of the marathon, as well as the expo where the bib numbers is to be collected. I've had other hotels in the past make a big deal of providing snacks for the runners on the day of the run. Well, that was done for the halfmarathon runners on saturday, but for the full marathon on sunday, not a single banana or water to be found in the lobby. I know I know, it is a small thing, but seems odd to do it for one race but not the other. Both the check in and the check out we experienced members of staff seeming to not care at all that we were there. The most uplifting members of staff that we encountered during our stay was funny enough the staff who were putting up the christmas decorations. The room itself, is worn, especially the bathroom. The TV is super slow in changing channels. There is a huge draft from the windows so you need to have the ac on at all times. Again location is the winner for this hotel, close to cafe's, shops and such, don't expect huge luxury because you wont find it here.

My main compliant was the pillows...less wide than standard on a queen bed. that would have been fine but they were very high, ie almost unusable because of the angle of your head on the pillow. I made a pillow out of towels and put it in the pillow case.
High marks for cleanliness and location.

Stay was ok. The room was nothing like pictures. The room was rather old and very dingy/dirty. Beds were uncomfortable as well. Easy convenience to city marks. Parking was also $160 for 2 nights which was ridiculous. Would not stay here again.

I stayed at the Sonesta from Thursday to Saturday (Nov 7-9) and wouldn’t recommend it. I called several times before about getting connecting rooms, when I arrived they said the rooms were connecting. They were not. When I went down to the front desk to tell them, one person said that queen rooms don’t connect. That was a lie because then magically there was a connecting room on the other side of mine that was a queen.
I was never able to call guest services from my room the entire stay. Your phones don’t work? When I had an issue in the night I had to use my cellphone to call. Ridiculous. There appeared to be only one person doing everything at night too, definetly short staffed.
When I arrived no one said anything about the daily 10 dollars they give you to use at the Starbucks there. (the only breakfast there) The front desk didn’t say anything, just heres your key. No training done on staff? You won’t know they have any amenities unless you read up on them because they aren’t telling you at the desk.
The parking garage attached to the hotel, another joke. They can take as long as they want to find your car but you better hurry up and get out once your in it or else face a dirty look from them.
Let’s not even discuss how understaffed they were considering it was the weekend of the Rocky Run.
But hey they were clean so if that’s all you are looking for, you might enjoy them.

My reservation was pre paid. When I arrived I was asked for a my credit card for $150 to keep on file and I was told by front desk that it would be refunded upon checking out. They took $23 out of the $150 when I called them back they say its a fee that they charge and it is on my receipt.

So very glad I found the Sonesta on Hotels.com. Staff was extremely welcoming and I felt like we were staying over at a friemd’s house instead of a hotel. Room was very clean and bed/pillows so cozy.

Two out of the four elevators were not working upon arrival. Nothing for breakfast to speak of - walk couple blocks to Rittenhouse much better. Their recommendations for cheesesteaks was the worst. Don’t go to Clevers cheesesteaks awful. No maid service during our two night stay. No water in the room. Good water pressure in the shower and pillows were a big hard. But you get what you pay for. Good price though.

The place reeked of marijuana in the hallways and into the room. The hidden fees are shadey charging me over $250 for a room advertised as $150 after parking and "resort fees" for a 12 hr stay. I checked in at 11pm and asked for a late checkout because i had a teleconference at 11am but that wasn't allowed. The room was small for the price but was relatively clean except for the marijuana stench.

I feel compelled to complain about this hotel. When we got to the room the room smelled of stale cigarettes and perfume. The rugs were badly stained. The furniture was scratched and beat up. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The room was way smaller than advertised. I’m not sure how it got the ratings it did. I had planned a really special girls weekend with my two daughters where we had planned to spend the night in and watch movies. I was not going to do that in that room. Needless to say I was beyond disappointed. It was so bad we left within 20 mins and got a different hotel (doubling the cost of the weekend). I would like a refund.

It was good. However there were noisy people in the hallway who woke me up! But that’s not your fault!! Maybe somehow mentioning to people to be respectful late at night.
We always stay at the Sonesta when we are in Philly. I love the location and the cleanliness. Our room is always very comfortable. And the linens are very nice.

I was disappointed to be facing not just an office building, but the particular floor of the office bldg with flood lights on all day and night. I was looking forward to seeing the city lights. the windows are so filthy that it was depressing. so even being on the 23rd floor wasnt nice. The people at the front desk are tense and officious. not welcoming and warm.

It was incredibly loud. There were a thousand kids running around until well after 2am.
The wait times for the elevators were VERY long as a result

Overall a nice place. But the guy at the bar was busy on his phone, the conditioner dispenser was empty, and the housekeeper peeked into our room before we could answer her knock.

I needed a quick change on scenery. So my honey and I decided to drive to Philadelphia for an overnight stay. This hotel was perfect for our needs.

It’s a glorified Holiday Inn. The room was nothing like the pictures. Not really worth the expense.

It was a nice and average hotel. Bed was comfy and the room was clean. The location was greatly placed for all of the fun festivities. I just wish the rooms were more updated, it felt dated especially the tv service. At least our specific room.
