It was not at all similar to what was shown in the pictures. The washroom was too small the bath tub was broken the wash basin was outside the washroom. The corridor passage was horrible. There was too much noise and disturbance due to other guests in the next room at the night we complained to security but no action was taken by them. It was overall not recommended for a family stay at this price.

Very untidy! Carpet was disgusting with all kinds of stains and lighting really sucked. The bathroom only had two out of the 3 bulbs working and the lamp beside the bed we couldn’t even turn off because the switch was broken, so we had to unplug. Parking really sucked as well. Very very dissatisfied. Never stay there again

Dirty old rooms, not worth the price. Water damage on ceilings, poorly renovated, tiny bathroom and everything in the room was old and battered. Some of the staff were rude. I felt like I was in a dungeon sleeping there..

They need a smoking area that is not near the hotel, the smell was disgusting, it traveled into the hallways. Rooms were very big. Beds were comfortable. No breakfast included and no pools open.

The room is smell something bad and the bath not clean there’s a lot of stains on it.
I know the hotel is a bit old but I think… the tub maybe can clean up the stains and a mild air freshener would be nice too.

What a Dump. The travellodge should be ashamed of them selves taking money for such a horrible place. Neither pool had water in it. There were a ton of Ants at the door to bring your luggage in. The carpet in our room smelled and I felt like I was in the basement. The front desk wasn't helpful at all. I am a senior and was told I needed to book on line. I'M A SENIOR. what happens if I didn't have a cell phone. I will never stay at a travelodge again

Part of a longer trip. Grabbed the room based on drive proximity.
Room was fine… for some reason the floor by the front door was damp. Very wet.
Need to fix shower nozzle in room 105….
Came out like a water hose with no adjustment.
Thanks

We stayed at this property as a group on a work assignment so needed somewhere central to Kenora to accomplish everything in four days. The property is beyond tired. The furnishings and carpets are very worn and look dirty, the pool area - which we had to pass through to get to our room - was under construction and strank. The smell continued into the rabbitwarren of creepy corridors down to the room. The room itself wreaked of mildew. The bedding had clean linens and there was free water and a small coffee machine. The other amenities in the room were barebones - including a tv that didn't work. As I was on the ground floor my door was opposite the corridor that had a few exit doors leading into the back car park where there were questionable characters hanging around. Last but not least the exorbitant cost of the room compared to the quality and condition of the rooms. I understand it's high season but this was a real dump.

There is no facility available at their location as they say on website there was no pool access no breakfast included and their rooms smell terrible it’s more like a haunted place. They have small window air conditioner which never gets the room cool at all. They are charging more than the five star hotels all u get their is messy conjugated rooms like a haunted movie. They need to put work or they should less if they could not.

Where to begin? The check in was fast and friendly. The bed linens and bathroom were clean (very surprised). We had to use the back parking lot to access our room. There were a number of meth heads milling around like extras from the Walking Dead. There were two ladies smoking the marijuana with their infant in the stroller between them. He might have been rolling for them, I'm not sure. This was a great talking point with my daughter on why an education is important. The interior looks as though H.H. Holmes designed it (look this up, its very important). There were stairs and corridors that led to locked doors. The smell of super dank weed wafted from several rooms. The doors to all the rooms in our corridor did not go all the way to the top of the upper door jam, feeling of "we are going to be the subjects of a murder mystery podcast" were running through our minds. The early 80's decor was a great throwback until we realized that the carpet was dirty and sticky, probably several porn movies were filmed here. Thank God we didn't black light the place. Probably more protein in the carpet than one needs to know. We barricaded ourselves in with our luggage. The hotel was surprisingly quiet, probably because all of the travels, like us, were trembling in their beds, clutching their pillows, hoping the serial killer would think the room was empty and move on. We left early in the morning to not disturb the zombie hoard outside. A very poor representation of a Travelodge.

Booked a room with 2 queen beds, upon arrival the front of the building looked promising, once we got told where our room was we moved our car to the back to be closer to our room. At the back we were greeted by a group of homeless blaring music and yelling at the cars as they drove by, there was also another gentleman who was at the one side of the building. We then parked and went to the room, the hall way leading to the room is very dark and sketchy looking. The group of homeless that had their music playing was right across from the room and we could hear it. The room itself had lots of stains on the carpet, smelt musty, old pet urine. We ended up going to the front desk letting them know we didn’t feel safe at the location due to the friends out back(we saw more arrive and going into the woods behind, as we were moving to leave) and their response was “ok”. This location is extremely overpriced at $250 a night. With them charging that amount of money I would think basic updates or cleaning could be done. You would be better moving your car to a better place and sleeping in there or do like we did and go stay at the comfort inn, who was cheaper and you actually felt safe in the hotel, it was clean and the staff were friendly. The Travelodge could learn ALOT from the comfort inn.
