Great location-20 minute walk to Radio City or Madison Square Garden. 4 blocks from Grand Central Station. Wide variety of restaurants nearby. Stay here every year come Christmas time.

Liked this hotels location and service. There were a few small things responsible for only giving it three stars. TV was not working, could hear other rooms toilets flushing, and bed felt well worn in. I anticipated more for the 500+ price tag.

Just spent a very nice long weekend here. The hotel is an oasis of elegance just far enough from bustle of midtown, but close enough to many things: round the corner to the Morgan Library, 4 blocks to Grand Central to catch subways and trains (incl: to JFK). We had a generous sized corner room which was quiet despite facing Park Ave. Dinner at the in-house Japanese restaurant Hakubai was outstanding. I think I will pick this again if next in Manhattan

I booked this hotel based on the appealing images on Hotels.com, expecting a comfortable, updated room. However, upon check-in, I was told that I had been assigned “the only room that hasn’t been renovated.” - room #501. Worse, I was offered an “upgrade” to a better room for an additional $100+ per night, which felt like an unfair upsell given that I had already paid for a quality stay.
The room I ended up with was shockingly small, barely enough space to move around. It was so cramped that we had to store our shopping purchases at a friend’s house nearby because there was no space for luggage.
The hotel’s “no option” booking policy through third-party sites meant I had no ability to choose or change rooms unless I paid the steep upgrade fee. For the price I paid, this experience was far below expectations. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere unless you’re prepared to either gamble on room quality or pay significantly more to get what you thought you booked.

It’s a beautiful hotel.. Love the Japanese toilet seats. Very clean and the staff are friendly. Lots of options for breakfast, from traditional Japanese miso soup to the usual continental breakfast.

Really enjoyed the extras in the room—robes, fancy toilet, amenities in room. Breakfast was reasonable and convenient. It wasn’t an exceptional buffet but service was great and offerings were fresh and tasty. Location and service were superb.
