The hotel has a lot of history in it. The bar was nice. The rooms are descent.

Biggest disappointment was the price. We really thought we were going to have a luxury, memorable stay. Just average. Second biggest disappointment was the Thanksgiving buffet. I found a couple items I could eat but, for the price, I expected something special. Gun Room now looks like a diner. Not fancy at all. No breakfast offered on Thanksgiving but no discount on room rate either. Finally, no football games were available in our room or in the bar. Drove 6 hrs to get there and we made the best of it. But wont be returning.

Great (fun)location. Old hotel with full service. Little things, which should be relatively easy to fix e.g. bedside lamp didnt work, TV wouldnt get local channels (as listed on in room guide), wi fi was weak to not available in room, a few small ants on bathroom floor.

It was a nice place to stay and a great location downtown. Amber at the bar was great and a delight to talk to.

There were excellent food and beverage choices. Many weekends have music or comedy shows as an extra ticket. It was great for us since we met family and this was halfway point. Overall, it worked nicely for us.

Very nice getaway stay in Marietta, Ohio. This classic hotel was wonderful with bar and restaurant service. Great location on the Ohio River in downtown historic River City. Highly recommend the experience. Thanks

Cool beautiful vintage hotel with beautiful views of the Ohio River. Spent some time sitting in the lobby listening to check-in.The staff is so friendly and eager to accommodate the guests. The town had lots of historical, natural and commercial attractions. Strongly recommend.

Tiny room and even tinier bathroom. Didn’t feel clean. Bad for in elevator. Dining options and food were very good.

So, there is no free breakfast if you are staying on the weekend despite all the advertising that breakfast is offered. Some of the throw pillows on the bed were stained. There was obvious upkeep needed in the facility.

Loved staying in the old place. Your room and bathroom will be small. Our room was musty, like it had been closed up. Every window in the lobby and room was filthy, carpet felt grubby, but furnishings, sheets and towels were super clean

A lovely hotel. It’s old, but its history and grand design makes it worth it. The staff were so friendly and helpful!

This property is old and dated basically worn out.
The toilet in our room is so close to the sink we cannot use it in the sitting position. The furniture is old and sone nice antique pieces but all the chairs need restuffing. We could not use the ac in our room it was too loud to sleep or have a conversation on arrival they put us in the lesser garage room than we had booked and it took a lot of conversation to get it changed and they blamed Expedia for everything.

This is a historic hotel and is an interesting place to stay. I highly recommend it. The restaurant was good and it was convenient that it was in the hotel and we didn’t have to leave the property.
