Very good place in terms of value for money. Arguably better than many fancier hotels as they have an amazing cafe, fast internet, clean rooms and even a Netflix account to use, free of charge!

Very nice and well maintained hotel, beautiful well-kept garden. The staff is very kind, always smiling and helpful. The location is close to the main road of the city but in a much less chaotic spot. The room was simple but tastefully furnished. The bar/restaurant was also good. I would choose it again without any doubt.

The hotel was fantastic in every way: staff, facilities, and service. I will stay here if I return to Yogyakarta.

A newly renovated hotel, they did a beautiful job of maintaining lots of originality in the building designs and style.
We stayed for 3 days there in the junior suite. Everyone was very kind, and welcoming and tried to accommodate us in every way, we sincerely appreciated and enjoyed our stay there.
However some comments from us, they did not have hand towels, wash clothes, or robes handy, which was quite inconvenient for us, would be great if the hotel had these items. The bathroom door handle was not aligned, we will have to slam the door to get the lock latch into the door frame, definitely needs some fixing. The cabinet under the sink had some unpleasant odour and the edge of the shower can have some more deep cleaning and polishing. Other than that all was great. We thank you for everything.

We had an amazing stay at the Ceria Hotel! We highly recommend you stay here if traveling to Yogyakarta. The hotel staff were welcoming, attentive, and assisted us in booking day trips to Prambanan and Borobudur. The coffee shop inside the hotel made wonderful drinks and had a wide variety of snacks to choose from. Breakfast was included in the price of the room and was fantastic every time. The lush gardens in the common space surrounded by the Art Deco architecture created a uniquely beautiful and tranquil atmosphere to enjoy all of the delicious food and drinks.
We also got to participate in a batik class hosted by the hotel. If this activity is offered during your stay, we highly recommended you do it! It was so much fun and you get to take home a little piece of Yogyakarta with you.
The Ceria Hotel ended up being one of our favorite places to stay on our three-week tour throughout Indonesia!

The charming Art Deco style hotel is centrally located in Yogyakarta. On Friday night, we walked about 5 minutes to Taman Pintar which is usually a theme park but became a night market full of food stalls with all kinds of delicious street food! It is then another 10 minutes from there to Malioboro which was so great for shopping!
Food and drinks are available on site and enjoyed in the covered outside area with ambient music. We loved the different drinks served in the cafe, including the taro latte and brown sugar latte. A traditional game called Chongkak was also provided and we spent time playing and enjoying just being in the hotel and each others company instead of being on our mobile phones all day.
The rooms are decorated to match the period and design of the hotel. The bed was very big and comfortable with ample seating inside the room. Our full body traditional massages were arranged quickly and done in our room, which was so convenient!
Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We could easily order breakfast before leaving the room and be served with fruits while I wait very shortly for the breakfast to be served. On our last day, the staff booked the Grab for us and spoke to the driver to ensure he takes us to the right train station. It was overall a great stay and we highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting Yogyakarta!

We booked the hotel because of its downtown location. The manager and the staff are extremely friendly. Meal services in the hotel are not only delicious but also of great value. It's quiet inside the hotel regardless of the condition outside. The hotel is very clean. Excellent hotel and highly recommend it!

We fell in love with CERIA Hotel Alun-Alun the moment we walked through the lobby door. We were greeted with friendly smile, cool refreshment towels and fruit infused water. We could feel that there was a lot of love and hard work went into this hotel's meticulous architecture, interior, and landscape. We stayed at the Deluxe rooms, which were very clean, neat, and comfortable. There was always someone sweeping and mopping the floor maintaining cleanliness throughout the hotel.
There were six options of freshly-cooked meals for breakfast, and we got to try four of them which were delicious. The hotel's staffs were always there to help us with all our needs. The hotel manager, Pak Nanang, was very friendly and warm. He always greeted us every time he saw us, and shared stories with us.
Thank you everyone at Hotel Ceria for making our stay in Yogyakarta memorable and thank you for sharing your wonderful and lovely hotel with us. It is an absolute hidden gem of Yogya and we are hoping to return one day.

We had the best stay at Ceria! It started of with a warm welcome with drinks and a small pastry. The staff was incredibly friendly and made the place feel at home. Every time we came back we arrived in an oasis of peace in the middle of the busy city. The hotel is beautiful and so much lovely details.
They also offers to use their bicycles which we happily did. The breakfast is also very good!
We would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely do so ourselves when we find ourselves in Yogya again. Thanks so much for the perfect stay!
