Amazing experience, staff so friendly and helpful. Hotel in fantastic location.

Moved from initial room at far corner of hotel above kitchens. Cooked breakfast avoided after wife was sick within minutes of first breakfast. Hot dishes were left to get cold. Canapés were more like salads. Long drinks initially were mostly ice. Management responded to concerns and The Blue Elephant Thai restaurant was consistently good. Rooms lacked character with an office chair and an uncomfortable couch. More suited for business/events.

The hotel, amenities and facilities were great, as per usual with Hilton Hotels. However the service whilr checking in was dissapointing. No concierge to help bring up any of my 3. heavy suitcases, a somewhat careless lady in the reception, i was also surprised that non of my Hilton Honors Gold benefits would count, as it was booked trough Hotels com. I understand i won’t earn points or qualifying nights, but i reallt expected my already acrued benefites to count. Prior to checking out, i got a call asking if i would like some help to bring down luggage, but when checkout time came around, no concierge showed up, and the front desk did not answer my calls, so i yet again had to bring down 50kg+ of suitcases myself. Once i had checked out and waiting for my taxi however, conciegere was very helpful :)
Other than that, the pools, spa, tennis court and all the other facilites was amazing. I loved the quarterdeck bar, and it had an amazing view over the marine.

My third visit to the hotel this year and one of the many reasons is the helpful staff in all different areas plus how clean the hotel always looks.I've stayed in various rooms over the years and all have been to a high standard.

This hotel has plunged down hill since my last visit 3 years ago, how it clings to 5 stars is a mystery. Saturday by the pool was like Benidorm.

The stay was amazing 4 nights and we were treated with respect and courtesy through out the whole stay.
My wife has allergies to many different foods and we stopped by the Bar on the 5th floor for evening desert and a night cap. When my wife went to order a desert there was only desert with peanuts left so we ended up leaving. We went back the next day the same waiter who waited on us the night before went downstairs brought her up some cheesecake with Blueberries and it made her night that he went out of his way. Every night we went back and the waiter went down and got her something without nuts (cheesecake once again). Just the fact that he was willing to help and had an amazing attitude was incredible.
We also used the concierge for service and he pointed out some great adventures which we followed to a tee and was very pleased. The same concierge was able to find us a driver and car to go to Gozo and spend the day with him and really see Gozo in its entirety.
The breakfast staff was also amazing it was nice to be treated so well.
Thank you for our stay!

Check in experience not great, 30 min wait, no welcome drink offered, arrived at 11am so room not available until 3pm. When we asked for room at 3pm was told still not available. Finally got room at 4pm. Only staying one night so not great.
Weather was stormy on and off and they closed the beach club at midday just as the sun was coming back out. Not ideal as only adult only area. 100’s of kids at main pool which remained open through the weather.
All the decent spots for sunbeds at beach club now only for paying day guests not hotel guests. All had reserved signs on and all were empty. Disappointing as we love to sit by the waters edge and now you can’t.
We will now book somewhere else because of this. The Westin next door for example.
Such a shame as this has changed since our last visit. I guess all about making more money but to the detriment of hotel guests.

Just returned and cannot wait to go back. As a family of 4 this hotel offered everything we could ever need. The variety of pools worked so well with the children able to play with balls and inflatables in one pool but adults could get away from it all in another. The service was excellent, the food fabulous. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Overall, we had an amazing holiday. The location was beautiful, the breakfast was excellent, and the hotel exuded luxury.
The pools were enjoyable, though the food and drinks were quite expensive. We dined at the hotel several times during the week, twice opting for the evening buffet and twice at the Blue Elephant Thai restaurant. There are some excellent restaurants in the area outside of the hotel, highly recommended that you explore the local eateries.
The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff was fantastic. We also enjoyed a jazz night in one of the bars, which was a delightful experience and definitely worth attending if it’s available during your stay.
The reception staff was courteous, professional, and very helpful. The Prosecco that greeted us after a long journey was a welcome surprise.
The only negative experience occurred on our final day after checkout. We checked out at noon and decided to have lunch at the reception restaurant, When I went to the bar to ask for some drinking glasses, the bartender was about to hand them to me when the floor manager, Rajendra, intervened and insisted I be given paper cups instead. I found this behavior very disappointing. I had to remind him that we had just spent thousands of pounds at the hotel and were currently paying for a substantial lunch. He reluctantly provided the glasses, but the incident left a sour taste at the end of an otherwise enjoyable holiday.

Fabulous stay at the Hilton in St Julians. From the minute we arrived staff were warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The concierge was very helpful and provided lots of options to explore the island and the chefs went above and beyond to make sure all tastes and food intolerances were catered for.

On the whole the hotel was lovely but the sheets in the room were not clean. Clearly could see makeup stains.

Queing for check in, breakfast, sunbed. Massove dirt under the beds. Severe damp smell in the room that the AC doesn't clear. Rust on the table leg in the room. Staff less helpful always explaining that what you needed is the responsibility of someone else.

Very clean and really lovely staff. The beach club is lovely to have if you are holidaying without children. The quarter deck bar is great. Staff are helpful, cheerful and approachable. Room cleaning is discreet and very well done. Nicest selection of decent size pools in Malta. Really easy walks (or affordable cabs) to high quality restaurants. In hotel restaurants are also great quality.

Hilton Malta is one of my favourite hotels, we as a family go every year and it’s our sanctuary.
I had a few things that annoyed me a bit this year, room service came pretty late, most of the days around 3ish pm when we wanted to have a nap, they’re very good though and came back later.
Saturday and Sunday was packed around the pool area, apparently only hotel guests, but lots of Maltese people do stay cations, unless you’re down by at pool at 8 am, it’s pretty hard to find a sun bed. Also, unless you have breakfast very early, it’s a long line to get into the breakfast.. we had no issues Mon-Fri. I get that they want to fill all rooms, but it got too crowded for my taste. I’ve never experienced this before.
I’ll definitely go back, but might do fewer days and go somewhere else for half of the break.
