For the little we paid, this place was perfect. Indeed they could spend a fortune to upgrade and upscale it but then it would be cost prohibitive to many. It was very clean with touches like flowers around that showed their pride in being the place you picked. The front desk guys were outstanding in their recommendations and patience with my million questions. Thanks to all the staff!

Average at best. Just needed a place to sleep after a long day. Couldn’t find anything better, last minute Labor Day weekend. Josh at the front desk was great.

Comfortable and spacious room. Staying on the front side of the hotel yields some noise from road traffic, although it was very quiet during sleeping hours. Request a room on the back side, if possible.

Good hotel to stay near Newport. Plenty of parking space. The continental breakfast was very good. They had fresh fruit, different type of breads, bagels, muffins, pound cakes, coffee, tea, juice. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, we stayed in a 2 queen beds room. No safe in the room. No blow dryer either. Small refrigerator. Clean hotel. There is a Ma’s coffee shop steps away the hotel. I will stay here again.

The hotel is very welcoming. Lots of pretty flowers outside. My room was small and in the back nothing special except the bathroom had been totally updated. It felt quit posh. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed was comfy.

Very outdated, smelled extremely musty when entering hallway to room. Door didn’t went to open well, almost swollen from humidity. Room itself looked to be cleaned but again very old and dingy looking. Bed was super uncomfortable. Would not stay here again.

We opted for the Rodeway Inn as it was the most economical and close-by location for the Navy OCS graduation. An older property, we had our expectations in check before arrival, but found it is quite well maintained and clean. We had no issues at all with any safety concerns. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.

Very unpleasant smell in the hallways and room. TV remote was busted and would only control volume, couldn’t change channels. Remote fell apart upon picking it up, so it was obviously known, just ignored. Walls are paper thin. Everything is audible. When the heavy outside door closes, it shakes the room and is loud as hell. Not recommended.

Newport RI during busy summer season, we're obviously paying top dollar for mediocre lodging. Staff was nice, while building is old & rooms dated, it was clean. Shower is weak.

The location of the hotel was very convenient to downtown Newport. The room was updated. It is on a busy street, but that shouldn’t deter you from staying there. Would stay again!

Decent price, but not a place I would stay at again. Too much traffic and too close to the road. I would rate the room a 2. Not a lot of effort put into appearance. Pics on website look better than the room itself.
