We chose this hotel because of the pool, however the pool was not heated at all and was soo cold the kids couldn't swim at all. Our sofa bed had pealing leather and the space was not handicap accessible for my cousin who is disabled. The staff was polite but hard to find at times.

We have stayed at this hotel four times. Each time it is progressively worse. The main day time front desk guy does a really good job. I get that this property is under new ownership, but it is absolutely disgusting. It is hard to get me to complain. I can’t stand people who do, but here goes. Spending $500 at an absolute dump is frustrating. We aren’t the typical rich Okoboji types. We can’t afford a lot of places there. $500 is a lot of money to us. When we checked in, two of the extra pillows for the hide-a-bed that our friend was using were covered in dry blood. I had the front desk get us new ones. The hide-a-bed couch cushions were completely ripped & peeling. The s_it show continued for three days. Hair in the jacuzzi tub, dead bugs all around the tub, the bubbles worked for five minutes, the tub took 30 minutes to fill (No exaggeration.). We thought the bloody pillows couldn’t be beat, but we had the curtains by the back glass door fall down in the middle of the night. It scared us, woke us up, but at this point we weren’t surprised. This too was reported and “fixed.” The hotel is old & gross. It isn’t the cleaning crews fault. With how awful & frustrating it was there is potential if they actually decide to make an effort to renovate it. The restaurant/bar is beautiful and the food is really good! The swimming area with hot tub is huge & great for kids. Let’s see if the new owners care because this place needs a ton of work! Will it remain janky or become swanky?
