Everything was great until I went to take my shower Sunday morning before I left and discovered the shower didn’t have any cold water. The water was between very hot and boiling hot, so I decided to wait until I got home and take my shower. I did report the problem to the front desk. She said she would have maintenance repair it.

The website state $20 deposit but when you get there they want $100 deposit which is a bit expensive for the area it’s in. They need to update website.

I've been in a lot of hotels in small town America, and this one ranks as one of the worst. The hallways felt like poorly placed plywood with carpet loosely on top - I was convinced I was going to fall through the floor as I walked to my room. The curtains in the room did not connect in the middle, so I had to use a pants hanger to get the room darkened. The furnishings were past their prime, including rust stains on the lamps and torn lampshades. The toilet ran all night. The shower was tepid at best and pooled both in the tub and into the bathroom. The walls were paper thin so that I could hear my neighbor snoring.

The hallway to our room was very hot and humid because of no AC. Once we got to our room, there was a strong musty/mildew smell mixed with a “chemical-like” smell. Front staff was very helpful in trying to get us another room even though their availability was limited. That room didn’t have the number of beds that we needed but it also had a mildew smell. We opted to stay in our first assigned room. The staff gave us Lysol to help with the smell. Later in the night, we realized that the AC was leaking water on the carpet saturating it. The toilet randomly “screams” at times. Early morning, the toilet stopped working because of the pump inside of it. My husband fixed it to get it to flush. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was great. The breakfast staff was very efficient and was constantly cleaning and restocking. Staff was very nice but unfortunately the hotel is just in need of major renovations.
