We booked a handicapped accessible room for my senior mom. After talking with the front desk, their accessible rooms are very far from the elevators which is a chore for seniors with walkers/rollators. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke. I had them spray twice but the smell remained. The room needs a renovation. Counter in bathroom creaked when leaned on and the toilet paper roll was hanging by a thread Main restaurant is not open for dinner. We had to eat a the lobby bar which was noisy and not set up for dining. We were hard-pressed to get anyone's attention to order, to get salt and pepper and refills. There is also a train that goes by the hotel at least a couple of times at night waking us up and we were on the top floor. Not restful at all. And not warning if train noise. Walls are paper thin and I could hear our neighbors talking through the wall. While the location is good for tourists I would not stay here again. Definitely subpar for a Marriot.

Waterfront location was a plus, but we didn't get a chance to walk around an enjoy it much, unfortunately. Staff was amazing: courteous and professional and warm. Parking, while secure, was very expensive :(. Room decor: the lights in the room were super bright, not creating the cozy atmosphere/ambiance we'd hope for after traveling all day. And the light in the bathroom automatically turns on (even in middle of the night, flooding the room with light, which was undesirable. The floor was vinyl-which was strange and felt cheap. Maybe this room/flooring was chosen for us because we were traveling with our dog? Our room also looked directly over the railway and we were worried it would disturb our sleep..but it didn't, thank goodness! The bed and pillows were comfortable. Not sure I'd make the effort to stay there again.
