Front door locked and didn’t know how to get in… had to call manager after hours and they were upset that we didn’t know to use our key… first time doing that and was yelled at in German 😊

The hotel was spotless, service was excellant, and the staff was extremely friendly snd helpful. They shared lots of brochures and information about things to do plus gave dinner suggestions. The location is great, just a few blocks from the Christmas markets, all the restaurants and other shopping. The breakfast buffet consisting of eggs, several warm and cold meats, cheeses, breads, yogurts, fruits, sweets, etc. was tasty as well as plentiful. Rudesheim is a great little town, plenty to do in the town plus a good base for day trips. Wonderful find!

A great hotel in the center of Rudesheim am Rhein. Walking distance to restaurants and wine bars and great service. We loved our time and will stay here again when we return.

A lovely quaint hotel in the middle of Old Town. Close to everything!! Shows great care and attention to detail by the owners and staff. Decorated amazingly for Easter. Beds comfy, rooms and bathrooms pristine. Fabulous German buffet breakfast included in picturesque dining room.
If I could wish for one thing a small courtyard area to sit in would be the icing on the cake! But a hidden gem this place!!

Great stay. Lovely family. Fabulous breakfast every day. The only suggestion would be for a comfortable chair/small sofa in the room for a relaxing evening.

A very pleasant hotel with good service. Ideally located for a stroll to the Rhein, plenty of good local places to eat.

The hotel was average and I would not stay here again. We had no water in the shower the first night because something was blocked, and the second night the water was running but it was ice cold because there was another problem that couldn't be fixed on the weekend. You would have thought they would offer another room? NOT. The number of ducks (wooden, plastic, glass, pewter....you name it!) they have placed throughout the hotel is too much of a good thing. They must number in the thousands.

This was our fourth stay at the Trapp, as always we received a warm welcome. The room was lovely and the restaurant food second to none! Brillant location , close to drosselgasse, but far enough away from being disturbed by revellers.

A spotlessly clean hotel with typical German decor with lots of carved wood. The overall theme is Ducks. They're on every shelf, window ledge and lampshade. Our superior bedroom was well furnished and air conditioned. The dining room was large and also open to non residents. Breakfast was included in the room price, and had the usual continental selection of cold meats, cheeses and breads. A plus point is their own garage - few hotels in Rudesheim have that. The hotel is situated well away from the railway line, so couldn't hear the trains at night, but it is right next to the church whose clock chimes every 15 minutes - but it didn't bother us! Overall a lovely hotel - if a little expensive - but I'm sure we'll stay there again.
