Unfortunately we arrived in a heatwave and the room had no aircon. Also a band was playing in the concert venue at the back of the hotel. They were good, and finished at about midnight, but it was loud. Location is good and area nice but hot sweaty room overshadowed everything.
Fridge in the room did not work.

I love all the centrally situated hotels in Porretta Terme, but the Roma is probably my favourite. It's bang slap in the middle of town, the staff could hardly be more friendly (to be fair, a trait it also shares with its nearest competitors) and the rooms are spacious and clean (including decent sized showers, very useful for a lardy lad like myself...) The breakfast buffet is plentiful and well stocked at all times and the coffee is great, too. If there's any downside to the Roma experience it's that it is situated behind one of the busiest bars in town, and it can get noisy at night time if two or three volatile Italians are having an extended conversation outside once the bar closes. But that's not the fault of the Hotel and doesn't count as a 'black mark' against an otherwise excellent, value for money establishment....

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Roma. All hotel employees were very kind and helpful. Armond (spelling?) was most helpful and full of happiness. Out of the five hotels we stayed in, this was the only one with an elevator. Easier on the knees and legs. We chose this hotel because it was close to the hometowns of my grandparents. The hotel was very quiet and clean.. Hopefully, we can stay here again someday.

I stay In Porretta as it is a 1.10 hour trip on the train to the Fair in Bologna I attend. This hotel in very comfortable and right in the middle of this friendly town. The prices are very reasonable and I believe represent good value for money unlike in Bologna itself. Breakfast is fine and always fresh and tidy. The locals are very accommodating and it is lovely to wander about in the evening and we ate at La Veranda restaurant every night, wonderful food! I will be back.

Passports left by staff in key rack at unmanned reception area for a whole day, with front door open to any passing opportunist. Had to retrieve them myself. Room poorly cleaned on arrival, food crumbs over floor. Worst breakfast I have ever encountered
