The staff was very nice and helped me with any questions I had. They gave my family rooms right next to eachother like I requested. The rooms were worn down and very outdated there was on table and one nightstand but nowhere else to set anything other than on the mini fridge. The flooring was coming up, the windows were gross, and the beds were extremely uncomfortable.

Great family funhouse

The hot tub was cold and they let lots of kids and people all at once splash around and horse play so nobody could enjoy and relax. The rooms was super dirty and not picked up. Some pools was closed. On the wing we booked our room, the pool was closed.

We went there with friends so the kids could swim and play, way too many bday parties, water was cold, and only one pool open! They should only allow one bday party at a time, hire workers, and figure out a better way to make customers happy! 20% isn’t much!!

Lobby area was updated & clean. Carpet in hallway of rooms was very stained. I knew ahead of time, from reviews, that sounds from pool area & hallways were loud & could be heard in the room, so I can’t complain since I knew ahead if time.

Very clean active place. Kids will stay busy at the pools and amenities for them there.
We’ll be back sooner than later.

Worst hotel stay ever, depressing actually. This hotel is very rundown, dirty, bedding is a joke. Carpets have giant stains through out. Same trash was left in the hallways for days. Pool with swim up bar and hot tub in that area were also very dirty. We were to stay for three nights and we could not stay the final night. We left and I paid for a room elsewhere with no money back. Was 💯 worth it too, sad this hotel has been let go this long. Adventureland theme park was a beautiful, clean, well kept place. This hotel doesn't deserve to share the name.

Room was rather dirty in my opinion.. lots of stuff needed vacumed up from floor,, also some of the tiles where loose and coming up from floor

Apparently, because we booked through Expedia, they would not upgrade our rooms to be closer to the pool. Instead, we were on the backside of the building, and the carpets in the hallway were absolutely filthy, with stains all over. The rooms were very basic and after seeing the hallway, we were not feeling real good about how clean the rooms were, although they were ok. The TV did not work in our room, And the shade came down from the top, so we could not look outside unless we opened the entire shade over the patio door. I will say the people that worked there were all very friendly and tried to be accommodating.

Our stay was good. The check in process was quick and easy. The pool was right out our door, that was awesome for our kids. The only drawbacks we had were that the pool area was so warm and humid that at times it felt uncomfortable as well as when we asked for more towels they told us that 4 of their washing machines were broken so if they had towels they would try to bring them to us. My kids loved the arcade that was onsite.

Very clean & efficient service, even with coming in late evening

Bathroom was not clean (food on floor). Soap dispensers not filled. All bathroom faucets and fixtures were janky. No where to hang wet swimsuits etc. Front desk staff was friendly enough and helpful. Convenient place to stay but old and not well maintained or cleaned.

Room smelled of sewer. Toilet was an inch off the floor. Room felt dirty. Hallways stains all over floors.

It really needs remodeling. I tripped on warped bathroom tile several times. Ice machine was broken near my room.

Check in was ok.. Said they offer early check in, tried and said not ready. But they gave us are wrist bands so kids could swim which we were thankful for. Went to desk at 345Pm to get room still said room was not ready. Then a huge line formed we were in back of line but all
of sudden room
was ready within 15 mins but since they said no at 345 we couldnt even get ley till almost 430. Room was nice and clean pools were great, just wish check in went smoother

Horrible stay! The swimming was close most of the night. When they open the west side you only has 2 hrs to even swim and when it open it was packed. The east side open before the west. Too much light comes in the room when you are trying to sleep.

Loved the rooms, clean and cozy. The pools are great just a bummer that they close so early. Breakfast was amazing and free!! Loved that!

The staff was thorough with all the information about the details on the pool and the hotel amenities.

Had issue at hotel and attempted to call front desk many times over the day and unable to get anyone to answer to help resolve my issue. After 10 minutes on hold still no real person to answer a simple question.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by very friendly employees. Once in the room, trash was still in the bathroom can, other than that the room was clean. Property is showing it's age and could use a renovation.

The staff was rude. I got the impression the staff don’t like people with different cultures backgrounds.

I was assaulted by an underage girl who was clearly intoxicated. She literally punched me in the face. I wish I could submit the video here, but it’s all over social media. The rooms around the pool like ours had music bumping, dirty clothes hanging and 8 to 10 people partying. It was a free for all. The big bunch of locals there took the entire length of the pool to play football with real leather balls. I was holding my niece towards me and the football hit her hard in the face. Not one thing was done. The Altoona Police refused to let me file a report after asking 3 times. This place, and town is probably the most unsafe town in Iowa. The beds had cut curtain material and sheets had stains. We moved hotels to be safe. The desk clerk at the other hotel got us in before 7 am because he knew it was unsafe. Have not heard one thing from the police or the property, but they will be hearing from me. I was physically assaulted, punched in the face! STAY AWAY IT IS UNSAFE

The beds needs to be up dated. Hallway needs a deep shampooing. The room was very clean but it didn't have a dresser to put your clothes away. I love it was so close to the Adventureland park.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable! They were lumpy and frames were broken. The “pull out sofa” was more a slider futon which was stained and very dirty. It made me a little concerned to have my grandson sleep on it. We had to call and request linens and all they brought were sheets so we had to go to the desk ourselves to get blankets. For a family place and the price, I felt the upkeep should have been a lot better!!

The kiddie pool was wonderful. That being said, everything else about this property was sub-par. I feel like it has not been updated since the day it was built. Holes in the walls, carpet dirty, mattresses that are probably 30 years old. I’ve stayed at Motel 6’s that were in better condition.

We walked right over to Adventureland.

For a $300 stay, no microwave in room to warm up food. There was no indoor waterslides, only 1 of the hot tubes was working and everything closes at 9pm. Check in is at 4pm that only gives you 5 hours of water time, just not worth it for $300 per night stay, definitely not a getaway spot for adults if you have kids definitely place maybe for them.

I was shocked at how badly this resort has gone downhill. For the price they charge on a Thursday night I could stay anywhere else for multiple nights. The hallways were incredibly loud, flooring needs replaced, the second pool side was completely empty because it just was useless space. You got to a water park type of hotel for slides or splash pad or like the pirate ship it used to have.

Well we got there earlier then check in but it said online if they didnt have our room ready when we got their early we could still use the swimming pool. But, they said they had a room ready. However, there was a dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. I didnt care too much tho since we got in early. But later we tried to get the sofa bed out and it was stuck! We figired out where it was stuck at in the frame, got it half way out, then it was stuck there and we had to do some maneuvering to get that unstuck, then maneuver it to sit flat on the floor since the leg bar thing was stuck too! We needed that bed tho because it was one adult and 5 kids. 2 people per bed. So i would stay again for sure, especially with the pool/splash area for kid's and proximity to adventureland but i do wosh they would maybe upgrade some things. Also, maybe give the workers a tour of the place. When we checked in the lady answered idk to a few too many simple questions about the hotel/facility.

One hot tub didn't work the other wasnt very hot.

The only things I did not like was the weak water pressure in the shower, and the water drained very slowly in the shower and sink.

This hotel was horrible. It was expensive and run down. We booked a poolside patio room for our grands to enjoy the pool. The room needed a lot of fixing; Paint for damage on the walls and trim, tiles coming up, furniture missing, carpets in hallway stained, trim damage in halls, goose poop on the walkways outside. There was no housekeeping until the 4th day of your stay. We were there only 2 nights. The hide-a-bed hadn’t had the linens changed before our booking. A child in the pool area spit a full mouth of water at my autistic granddaughter after she had fled the pool to avoid him and the lifeguard did nothing. This is touted as a resort and not a working ice machine in the place. No one cleaned food/ trash from the hallways. For over $500 for 2 nights steer clear.

I booked through a 3 party and I feel like we got rooms that was a little slummy. When I booked from the actual Adventureland inn app a couple years ago we got very nice rooms!

The only problem was that when arrived to the room. We notice the toilet water was almost to the top. So my husband had to go to go to the front desk and let them know they did send someone rught away to fix the problem tho.
