We took a last minute 2-day trip to St. Gilles on a holiday weekend. The lodging was very comfortable and very reasonably priced, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that they had an elevator. We didn’t have a chance to check out the restaurant, but it looked pleasant. Only downside was fish smell in the lobby from the dining room.

We stayed one night in a twin bedroom. The room was very dated and small but overall fairly clean and comfortable. Hotel service was fine. Restaurant service for dinner was okay, but could be improved. Breakfast service was fine too. Hotel was okay for our one night stay and is nearby nature parks which we enjoyed visiting. Lots of construction going on in the small town but it did not interfere much with our stay.

We chose this place to be close to the LE Boat marina. Our room was very old and dated but was clean. The wifi was good and they have an excellent restaurant, however a very POORLY designed breakfast set-up for people to access food, coffee, plates etc ALL in one small crowded corner. We both paid 9 euros each for breakfast but out of frustration and chaos trying to access food , all that we managed to get after waiting over 10 minutes was a coffee out of the one machine.

The hotel is nice. Small elevator or convenient stairs give easy access to the second floor. Breakfast room was spacious and there was a good variety. Very noisy traffic started before 4:30 am which meant a less than perfect sleep.

Very recommendable hotel for a stopover; we had a obviously newly refurbished room which held actually more than the hotel seems to promise from the outside: Spacious room, excellent beds, excellent bathroom / shower, everything immaculately clean; to keep the summer heat and insects out, the room (looking to the rather quiet street) has wooden shutters and a fly screen, and a very good air conditioning. Good restaurant, too. I wouldn´t expect too much from St. Gilles itself, but you can reach quite a few places from there.

Having spent 3 nights staying in bland, if perfectly acceptable hotels as we travelled down to the Camargue, this hotel was a joy, as it has so much character. Room and bathroom both very well equipped and thoughtfully furnished, if not the biggest we stayed in. Restaurant excellent and staff attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. There is a lift as well as the easy and beautiful art deco staircase and the reception area has huge oil paintings of typical Camargue scenes and is very well appointed. The street is lovely with spreading plane trees and it is a 2 minute walk to the Canal de Sète, but the rest of the town is rather tired and in need of renovation as has been said before. We were not tempted by the menus at the few other restaurants nearby and they were much the same price as Restaurant Le Cours. The secure parking is not on site and costs 6 euros a night, but parking in the quiet street between the plane trees was perfectly safe in our opinion.

A great place to stay, explore the town or go on day trips to Arles, st.Remy and other interesting locations in the area. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We felt very much at home at La Cours for the five days we were there

We stayed there three nights and enjoyed the experience. Its a good location, close to Arles and Camarque. You get just the right kind of attention, - not too much but not too little either. Clean room, simply furnished, tv, deposit safe, AC, two small bottles of waters daily, no fridge. Bathroom with all the essentials. Very kind, polite and helpful personnel, both at reception and the restaurant. We liked the food choices too, several fixed price menu options as well as a la carte menu. Free street parking next to the hotel as long as there is space or a paid option if you prefer a garage. We would definitely stay again if in the area and would recommend to friends!

The restaurant is considered one of the best in the area, and was packed when we came to register. We enjoyed the comfortable beds with nice sheets, as well as the bottled water and candies that came with the room.
