I recently had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience at Hotel Villa Romana. Not only was the stay itself subpar, but I also encountered a serious issue with theft and the hotel's refusal to address it appropriately. 1. Theft of $500: During booking, I was overcharged by $500. I immediately reported this to the hotel management, expecting a swift and thorough investigation. Instead, I was met with indifference and denial. The staff was completely uncooperative. 2. Refusal to Refund: After numerous discussions and escalating the issue to the hotel manager, it became clear that they had no intention of compensating me for the stolen money. The manager was dismissive and refused to take responsibility or offer any form of reimbursement. This level of customer service is completely unacceptable, especially given the seriousness of the situation. 3. Poor Customer Service: Apart from the theft, the general customer service at Hotel Villa Romana was extremely poor. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, making my stay even more unpleasant. Simple requests were often ignored or handled with a bad attitude, which further tarnished my experience. 4. Room Condition: The room itself was below standard. The cleanliness was questionable, with dirty carpets and a musty smell that persisted throughout my stay. The bathroom fixtures were outdated and poorly maintained, adding to the overall discomfort. 5. Lack of Amenities: The advertised amenities were either unavailab

Parking was easy although it was out of season. Right on the beach front. Hotel was clean and comfortable and offered a good breakfast.

Aircon not working for our 2 nights stay. I think it was since a few days looking at the comments. Nobody seems to care. They say it will be resolve by tomorrow morning (everyday) and that it’s not that bad…!! It was 28 degrees in our room. Our 7 months old baby is sleeping very well at night usually, and those 2 nights were terrible. Otherwise, the pool was very plaisant. Restaurant was ok, I would suggest to go explore other restaurant on the boadwalk.

Fabulous price for an elegant little hotel on the Mediterranean! The hotel has chaise lounges and umbrellas on the beach mere steps from the terrace swimming pool - a rarity in Italy. I was traveling with a group of friends and they thoughtfully gave us all rooms on the same floor. Each room had a beautiful terrace with a sea view. Another thoughtful touch - clothes drying rack with clothes pins in the corner of each terrace. Nice in-house restaurant and bar on the main floor plus many other choices nearby. Hotel desk staff all speak English.

sad that the Sea view of Superior room was actually a car park and sea only visible if you looked round the side. Other Sea view room looked at neighbour building. the photo they'd used was from a locked corridor fire escape. The desk manager was rude. Only the cleaners had smiles.

On its own the hotel was not bad though certainly no four stars. But the restaurant is to avoid. Beautiful setting with horrendous food, the worst we have ever experienced in Italy.

Hotel was clean and staff friendly. However, there was no hot water in the morning. Breakfast was very basic and quality below average. Roof was leaking and spots on the walls were everywhere ! Nice pool and close to the beach.

Staff at front NOT SUITED for working in service industry. Always MAKE YOU FEEL THAT YOU BOTHER THEM when asking for anything ranging from directions to information about restaurants in the town to getting an extra roll of toilet paper

Properry was clean but hard to find.. not much to do around. Absolutely need a car.Staff was nrver helpful. They never seem to know anything about what to do in the area.
