This is the most beautiful chateau and the staff is exceptional

We had the added bonus of catching a car show during our stay at the hotel, which was a nice perk. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making our experience even better. The restaurant's food and wines were outstanding. Our room was spacious and very clean. The only downside was some noise from guests outside the hotel at night, which woke me up and made it hard to fall back asleep. Overall, though, I had a wonderful time.

Blissful paradise! Magical property in a quiet of French countryside surrounded by nature sounds, yet writhing 20 min to Aix en Provence and 30 min to Marseille. We had a suite on second floor and it was very spacious with a daybed for reading, a separate walk in closet and a large on suite all beautifully decorated and included a fireplace. There was also a coffee station. Dinner at the restaurant was absolutely the best - we had a 5 course meal with wine pairing on the night of our arrival and it was the best meal of this 5 day, 3 stops trip to France. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious. Staff is helpful and welcoming. We did not have time to enjoy the spa or the pool area, but will definitely indulge when we return.

This is a beautiful chateau experience with highly trained teams who are friedly, attentive and professional. It is pricey but for good reason.

My stay was truly amazing. I only stayed for one night but the staff was exceptional and made me feel as though I had been here forever. The castle is tucked away on a beautiful and quiet property, I will certainly be back for another stay.

Everything was just perfect for our stay. The estate is super nice. Perfect for a weekend away. The dinner at Restaurant L'Orangerie was excellent. Highly recommend with wine pairing.

Beautiful and peaceful. The rooms must have been recently remodeled because they’re so clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hospitality is amazing. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable. The breakfast selection was very good but the dinner restaurant could use some improvement.

Great grounds and building.
But….
Thoroughly let down by a terrible kitchen in the non-Michelin star restaurant, pool and room service menu.
Poor housekeeping.
I struggle to find why it has five stars considering the installations in the family rooms.
Great reception staff

This was truly an experience, 300 year old chateau, great staff, great pool, beautiful grounds, well preserved, quant old bar in the lower area, with a wine cellar and tasting room. I would definitely come back and highly recommend! The hotel is kind of a maze with lots of rooms with tons of character, beautiful.

It’s a beautiful historic property , uniquely nested within nature - it’s a dream . I would highly recommend anyone with discerning taste , to stay at Château de Fonscolombes . This establishment is an experience , a destination worth the trip. Unlike a hotel, it offers you the opportunity to enjoy the surroundings. In fact , we had the pleasure of using the Chateau bikes. It was my first time on a bicycle and I really enjoyed my site seeing journey. The property is raw , yet beautiful. I should also mention the exceptional service of the staff . Everyone was so polite , and professional . The room selected did not disappoint , best view for sure . Every detail in the room was appreciated . From the tiny little music box on the night stand to the chef little Madeline treats which we all enjoyed upon entering . However , the nicest thing about the room was its high ceilings and large windows . I was able to open all my windows and enjoy the fresh air from both ends of the bedroom . That said ,if you’re looking for something intimate , to relax get away from everyday stress this is the place for you . I also recommend trying the restaurant , the Chef just received his first Michelin Star and I’m certain he will make this restaurant among the best restaurants in France . Every dish served was not only beautifully plated , you could actually taste the freshness of the vegetables. I’m giving this experience a 5 - STAR . Thank you , and see you next year ! G.D.S

The property is charming !!!! The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating with the exception of the guide the hotel had arranged for us. He was an excellent gentleman and a great driver but he was only a driver not a historical guide. We were supposed to have another guide when we arranged the tour. Nothing against this gentleman
