Great property overall. I get the feeling that this property caters to older crowds and young couples. We are a family of 5 (three kids 8 and under) so our kids energy didn’t match the vibe. I would definitely recommend this hotel to couples without kids or with older children. Staff are nice and more than accommodating, free bike rentals are great (all adult sized, a couple with kids seats). The hotel has afternoon happy hour and a nearby restaurant. Most guests seem to laze around the pool or sunbath all day with drinks nearby. The hotel is maybe 25-50 yards to the lake front and bike trail (which is why we picked this location) a few solid restaurants are less than 5 minutes away as well as boat rentals and the local ferry dock. The hotel offers parking or is 5 a minute walk to the bus stop (Cisano b = northbound, a= southbound), plan for 10-20 minute delay during the summer months. If traveling by bus get a multi day pass at the train station or Bardolino bus station tourist info booth. You can also purchase day use tickets from the bus driver.
So for couples of all ages 5 of 5 definitely book this location. Families with energetic children might be better served at a hotel that caters to that demographic.

The hotel was lovely and the grounds were as well. The rooms were pretty basic: no decoration, the mattress was hard and the pillows were also.

Good location, rooms, breakfast and pool. Bikes being available for guests was a bonus for exploring other towns of Lake Garda

Really nice place. Rooms are simple, nothing fancy but “OK”. The public Areas are quite nice, especially the Pool Area. My overall positive rating goes back to the super nice staff.
You always feel welcome, no matter what time of the day. Walking distance to more Restaurants or along the Lake, all very good.

Enjoyed our stay at San Marco. Cosy and comfortable. Spotless everywhere, good breakfast, aircon, great pool and views just across from lake. Friendly helpful staff especially Antionella. Rooms basic enough but fine. Fridge in room and hairdyrer could have worked a little better and a kettle would have veen handy but minor details. Free bike rental is brilliant. Would def stay again

Needless to say what we experienced was not like the pictures! Our room was very small and outdated. although clean, the bed was very hard and not comfortable. The lady who checked us in was friendly however the 2 ladies who worked the evening/nights were not and had no english- could not understand me when I requested an iron. The location is approx 10 minutes drive from Bardolino. A plus was that there was free parking. At €120 euro per night this was way overpriced.

Lovely pool. Hotel is not overly smart the lovely for the price and in a fantastic location. The only down side was if they don't welcome English people they shouldn't advertise on English websites.

We had the most wonderful stay at the San Marco. From start to end it was a lovely hotel to stay in with everything you need for a fab holiday. It is set in a wonderful location overlooking Lake Garda, which is breathtaking. We are already planning to go back!

The hotel was great. It is located about 100 meters from the lake and there are several restaurants and snack shops located nearby. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The hotel was a bit pricey but we visited during the month of August so that is to be expected. I would definitely stay here again.
