This property would be five stars if the following were implemented:
1. Provide a higher quality mattress.
2. Improve the internet in the unit. The wifi did not work in the bedroom. Internet speed is a 2/10 in the living room.
3. The bathroom is a bit awkward with the mirror so low that you have to sit on the toilet to comb your hair or shave. I’d recommend a full length mirror in the bedroom to accommodate.
Things that I appreciated:
1. Clear, easy, and consistent communication via WhatsApp.
2. Complimentary bottle of wine
3. Friendly and accommodating staff

The agent got in touch well before our arrival which was welcoming and helpful. They offered immediate assistance as required during our stay. The bed was comfortable and all the basics were provided, plus a bottle of wine. This accommodation was good value and everything such as aircon, shower, hob, wi fi etc worked efficiently. The bed, raised on a mezzanine, was up very deep steps. We enjoyed the vibrant outdoor market 5 minutes walk in one direction and breakfasts and other little shops in a square 5 minutes in the other direction. Bus stops for the station (no. 2-5) and airport (Alibus) were round the corner. It was a 20 minute walk to the old part of town down wide main streets. Many restaurants are in the vicinity. Our 3-day visit enabled us to explore Catania, Syracusa and Taormina. It's a good base for a city break which feels like it offers a more real life experience than just a tourist spot. A wide range of shopping experience possible from many quality individual shops to market stalls. People were friendly and we weren't hustled more than in any other city. We didn't try any bars or clubs.
