Inn was in a beautiful older home and very close to the beach. The food in the downstairs bistro was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone wishing something different than a typical hotel stay.

Loved the ocean view from our balcony and room. The owner, Michael, checked us in early, gave us a brief history of the property, and showed us around. Michael was very personable and friendly. We stayed on a day when the bistro was closed so we missed out on that experience. Only problem was not being able to turn the door deadbolt with our key--and it was too late to have the owner come out.

We spent last night in New Orleans, so we were SO happy to get to Gulf Port and find a nice clean town and a spotlessly clean hotel. The gentleman who checked us in was fantastic. He gave us a tour of the property and made sure we were all settled in. On a 10 scale, I give The Almanett a 12!!!

Room was overall good. It was dusty in the room. The restaurant downstairs was very loud with karaoke night. Makes it hard to concentrate on work and or sleep

If you’re looking for a change from a chain hotel, this place is a gem. It has just a few rooms and lots of shared spaces for reading, playing games, watching TV, etc. Our room was very comfortable. The downstairs bistro seemed popular - unfortunately we didn’t schedule our activities well enough to hit them during operating hours. There are also attractive outdoor spaces. The owners are accessible, and very friendly and responsive. We enjoyed learning the history of the building and family. We were sorry to leave! I’m not sure the atmosphere would be right for small children, but for two adults it was perfect.

This was such a cute boutique hotel. The decor was so unique. Our room was specious and comfortable. Our balcony gave us a view of the beach. Staff was super friendly and accommodated all of our needs. We stayed on a night that had Karaoke and it was a blast. We will definitely be visiting this hotel again.

This trip was a short weekend 40th birthday celebration for my daughter. I selected this hotel because my daughter really enjoys a boutique hotel over the large condo type. The property was as described. It was clean and bright. The staff was very courteous and friendly and the food in the bistro was great. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose this property again.

My stay at Almonette House was absolutely idyllic. As a property manager myself I would give the entire three stories a 20 on a scale of 10 for impeccably clean down to the last detail. There are always some deviations from the norm implied by the term 'Boutique Hotel' but that only adds to the charm and experience. These exceptions have been noted in other reviews and I found nothing to be worth mentioning. The BnB protocol afforded me privacy and essentially the property to myself the first day and a half which I thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend. Patricia, TX
