It was a spacious room, very clean. Room has no view and air con unit leaked all night in room with dripping sound. Very convenient to train etc

A good location for a cheap overnight stay in the city. Close to Central Station and entertainment precincts. Nothing special, but good value for money.

The room was large and cleaned daily. Shared bathroom was always clean. For the price, can't complain. Excellent location. Would stay again.

Some of the other reviews seemed to paint a picture that it was horrific, but it was fine for where it is and how much it costs. Room is spacious, bed was reasonably comfortable (although pillows not to my liking, but are they ever?), bathrooms were OK. Main bad point is the timber floors if you get elephants for neighbours who don't like to sleep. If you are someone who needs pitch black to sleep, you are going to struggle, but it actually wasn't too bad.
There was a bit of a damp smell in the hallways, probably from the moisture in the bathrooms however the room itself is fine.
Don't go expecting a 5 star hotel, but people must have some pretty high expectations of budget accommodation to leave such bad reviews.

The ‘balcony’ had an 8ft wall around it, so you couldn’t see anything. And the room had cockroaches which is simply unacceptable.

Check in and check out were efficient
The room was cleaned
Shower leaked into the rest of the bathroom when used
Cigarette burns in the curtains
Use earplugs and eyes mask at night. The main street is outside (which cannot be helped), but people were loud walking out in the hallway and up and down stairs slamming doors

would suggest to all staying check that you take photos as I am being stung for pillows that were not even in the room. There was an off seafood type smell also in the room even after keeping the window open while not in the room.

**Mixed Experience at Sydney Riseon Hotel
I recently stayed at the Sydney Riseon Hotel in the CBF district and have mixed feelings about my experience.
Starting with the positives, the receptionist, Ann, was extremely welcoming and kind upon our arrival. The hotel’s location in the heart of everything was convenient for our first night in the city.
However, our initial impression was dampened by a loud discussion between staff members in an adjacent room, which was quite off-putting. Despite some reservations due to mixed reviews, we decided to give it a chance.
Upon entering our upgraded room, provided due to high occupancy, we were greeted by a foul odor reminiscent of decay. Unfortunately, despite our request, we were unable to change rooms. We resorted to purchasing an air freshener, which was readily offered at the front desk, albeit suspiciously.
The source of the odor seemed to be the bathroom, which boasted three shower heads, perhaps aiming for a sense of luxury but missing the mark. Overall, while the hotel has its merits, potential guests should carefully consider recent reviewer comments before making a decision to stay here.

Pleasantly surprised as Railway Square area is not flash but room was clean and everything worked - ironing board and iron delivered to room no trouble. Double glazed windows ensured totally silent inside the room and staff pleasant and helpful.
Best to check in on Sundays as can get a space to park quick and check in and out.
Decent pub across the road and McDonald’s for cheap apple pie and ice cream for desert.
Lovely Spice Alley behind the hotel full of Asian street food.

I guess you get what you pay for. The stale smell was overwhelming. Cockroachs in the bathroom was unpleasant. The balcony was about to fall apart as were some of the floor and wall tiles. Staff were pleasant.

The entrance is just a simple door into a corridor. Nothing fancy - it would be easy to dismiss it.. But the reception was very good and the room was excellent value for money. Quiet, even though on a busy thoroughfare and a prime location for the city.
