The building is dated, with nostalgic details from the 70s/80s (the room key is an actual key, not a card, which I haven’t seen in a hotel for ages!) but well maintained and very clean. It’s a no frill budget hotel but efficiently run by courteous staff and they generously offer complimentary breakfast, snack, coffee, tea and lots of amenity goods - on top of that, I could soak myself in the nice communal bath (which you can reserve for private use) everyday during my stayand I couldn’t be happier. The location is great - easy walk to Sakuragicho, Hinodecho and Minatomirai stations and sandwiched by the lively Noge bar area and the Momijizaka cultural quarters. I really enjoyed staying here and highly recommended.

One of the worst hotels I've stayed at, but i think it's good value.
This is the cheapest hotel I've stayed at in japan aside from a capsule hotel. Capsule hotels go from $15-40. This hotel was only $35/night. You get your own space for $35. Id stay here over a fancy capsule hotel where I can hear everyone snoring and moving around.
Service is good and the hotel staff is trying. Ochazuke nights, bunch of manga for you to read, different pillows to choose from.
Ok, let's start with the elevator that sounds like it's going to break down or fall. I tried using the lamp in the room and the cable ripped off. Black dye or mold on both the shower curtain and the room curtain. Cracks around the sink. I had to spin the faucet a few times to get full water pressure. Holes in the bed sheets. Slow internet. I just used my pocket WiFi. Neighbors? Yea, I heard them arguing or snoring every night. This place just needs a fresh remodel.
Location isn't the most convenient, but a short walk. You have to walk about 5-10 mins to get to the fun parts of sakuragicho. Nearest combini is about 1-2 mins away.
This place gets the job done, but if you're traveling, I would consider other hotels even for slightly more.

Respa lainasi.
And the same for non-Fennophobes, 99,9% of the world. The place has an excellent location. The Sakuragicho Station is one stop away from Yokohama Central, and Kannai shopping and recreation area is at a walking distance. Personnel seemed to adopt me, probably because I seemed to be the only non-Japanese. Sometimes the place seemed a bit tight, probably for same reason. Lowish doors, shaving mirror requires stooping etc...
English-language morning paper, Japan News by Yomiuri, available at the next street corner. Breakfast delicious and varying, never just that same thing. Coffee cups could perhaps be a touch larger. The electric converter plugs must be unearthed, i.e. just two pokes, at the Japanese end. My three-poked ones were unusable, but the reception lent me one.

The hotel offered amenities only small hotels like this could offer. Ochazuke meals for after hours. Toshikoshi soba on New Year's eve. New Year's sake. All without charge. Nice touches. But, of course, for the New Year's holidays they jack up the prices like everyone else. The location is nice, close to Sakuragi-cho station.

Cost effective hotel near Sakuragi Station. It is an average Japanese business hotel, the furniture need some renewal, but very clean and comfortable. The staff is very kind. The location is behind a school, not very easy to find, but very quiet and many options for eating and drinking in the vicinity (Noge district). Very close to several main tourist spots of Yokohama.

Nice hotel with public bath near Sakuragicho JR station and Minato Mirai area. The location was great and away from any noisy roads, the staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The room was standard japanese size but very good standard for the price. Highly recommend if you need to stay in the area!

A modest hotel, but clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and strove to be helpful, despite the occasional communication gaps. Breakfast was wholesome and the waitstaff kind and courteous. Our wifi experience was better than our average experience at hotels. We wished the airconditioner would cool more, but overall great value and a comfortable stay.

Closest to the sakuragicho train station, Land mark building and cosmo world. Very friendly staff allowed me to check in early and 7 days later checkout late. Buffer breakfast was really delicious. The evening free coffee and green tea was an added bonus.

The room was dirty and mattress with broken springs. However, managed to change the room which had better mattered. But overall cleanliness was below satisfaction.

I should’ve read the reviews, as they were pretty spot on. I chose by proximity to my next hotel and only looked at the photo of the entrance and made the reservation. It’s an older hotel - at best it’s Japanese style business lodging. The morning breakfast was adequate but not great. Fairly clean but small and old. If you’re only going to sleep and take off early for a tour of Yokohama, it’s definitely in a good convenient location. Not much around the the hotel, but a short walk takes you to the heart of newer Yokohama.
