A stay at the Chateau for a single or couple is a super place to discover the region of the Sarthe. The rooms are large and the beds could not be more comfortable. A bargain.

Lovely place, good service, helpful. All you could expect from a chateau hotel and a good price.

We stayed while travelling back to Calais after a fortnight in central France.
Although slightly off the beaten track (another sign near the neighbour's Chateau would help), the hotel was in a glorious location and beautiful setting. The owners' horses (and random, wild deer) added to the scene.
It's clear the owners have some great ideas for the hotel, and are working on them e.g. the new spa, under construction now.
The bedroom was well equipped, breakfast was very good (traditional Continental spread) and the kids loved the pool.
One small issue, however, was that the rooms aren't in the Chateau itself but in an adjacent building. This should probably be a bit clearer in the description.
Tibault, Reception, could not have been more helpful and recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner in one of the local towns.

Welcoming chateau set in wonderful grounds, very quiet in the country, and excellent for dogs. No main restaurant in evening but bar menu more than adequate.

We felt that the hotel looked beautiful as we drove up to it but found that inside there was a great need for some serious TLC. Far from being shabby chic it was just shabby.
