I ve just returned home from staying in The Vista tree house for 16 nights.
The tree house is excellent with amazing views of the surrounding paddy fields and the lion rock in the distance.
Sujatha and Upali the owners are amazing hosts with support from great hard working staff, everyone one goes beyond the call of duty to make sure your stay is a pleasant one.
I twisted my knee on the lion rock and could not walk for 4 days which was very frustrating not being able to explore the stunning countryside I could see from my room, Sujatha and Upali arranged for all food to be brought up to my tree house and sent up ice to bring down the swelling in my knee, the all really looked after me and can’t thank them enough.
The food at the restaurant is traditional Sri Lankan food all home cooked and ingredients sourced locally but you can also order western meals, I stuck with the Sri Lankan meals and were incredible.
You can get a massage down t.he road, was ok but not the best, little shop also very close.
Most visitors only stay a day or two just to go up the lion rock etc but I highly recommend staying longer to explore the stunning local country side, Upali will always recommend good walks, I also hired a scooter to explore also.
The pool is a great bonus great after a hot day to cool you down as the temperatures can get quite hot in that area.
They will arrange tuk Turks or trips for you and make sure the prices are right and only use drivers they know and trust.

Wish we had booked for longer. Recommend the new treehouse, it was lovely, if a little noisy from the wildlife but we liked this. Pool is a massive bonus and food was good. Lovely spot.
