I stayed in room 114 for a very long time the staff is the best the place is quaint not too much noise the neighborhood is dope I say the best bang for your buck in the city no bed bugs I barely even seen a fly love this place.

I have traveled my whole life stayed in so many different kinds of accommodations and I can absolutely say this was one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. The bathroom was tiny and disgustingly dirty. There was a shared room with other persons that were loud and noisy. The linens looked used and frayed.

This building should be condemned. It is in disrepair, old, dingy, dirty and they should not be charging guests to stay here. I checked in and ended up booking a new hotel within hours. Once they saw me leaving, they offered to move me to a new room (saying they have better rooms but they only gave me the room they did because of my dog)- no, my dog is cleaner than the room and hallway. The bathroom was what made me decide to leave -it was filthy, with fecal matter all throughout the toilet bowl. I couldn't take it. Why not offer to refund my money, or at least 1 night since I pre-paid for 2 nights but only stayed for a few hours?

Carpet was filthy. Beds were clean, but the pillows old, flat, and smelly. Towel was clean, and a sink in the bedroom closet was functional. Know what to expect .... this place is really bad, but compared to the hotels nearby it was affordable. Staff was very nice and accommodating, though. The communal bathroom was gross, gross, gross. I would never shower in that moldy tile from the 1950's with grungy sliding door. The toilet seat looks to be at least 30 years old from the worn paint.

Stayed in a room that had spatters of something on the ceiling and walls. I’ve stayed in this room before and it had the same spatters before.
I booked a less expensive room and was offered this room because I’ve had it before. But this time I had to pay extra. Stupid me, I agreed. I mean the room was going to be empty anyway. It’s crazy they would take advantage of someone who stays there frequently. It’s even more crazy I fell for it!
There was trash and dust under the bed.
It wouldn’t be so bad but the prices they are charging now are a bit ridiculous for the dingy space you get.
Now even though the space is what it is, the staff is really pleasant.

Nice neighborhood, a charming (old) house. Boston is definitely overpriced, so this charming Inn was the solution in my budget. The room was very clean, but not very confortable, with a very old mattress. The bathroom was shared, but very clean.

Hands down the worst experience I have ever had. Bait and switch.
The owners should be ashamed of themselves for this nonsense. The price for what you receive is borderline criminal. I have no idea how this hotel hasn't been shut down yet. Does the state not know you rent out the building next door?
Half the reviews are positive as they stayed in the ACTUAL hotel. The other half were shuttled next door to a converted tenement building, and they do not inform you of this fact until you arrive. The images shown do NOT match reality.
Parking is not free and they do not inform you of this; nor is there enough parking for all tenants. First come first served, good luck if you're late.
My hotel room consisted of the following:
A door that did not close properly and only featured a doorknob lock.
The hardest mattress known to man paired with the flimsiest pillows ever stuffed.
A small wall-mounted television hooked up to nothing but power; no cable, no satellite, no TV watching for me!
Poorly functioning Wi-Fi.
A microwave! A positive! No fridge!? A negative!
Unvacuumed room carpets. There was even food on the ground when I walked in.
A heavily stained mattress, not concealed by the thin bedspread.
Mystery liquid stains on the walls when I walked in.
The communal(!!!) bathroom door had a smashed door frame so the deadbolt and door handle didnt latch. Missing tiles, no mirror, door doesn't close, what more to say?
Terrible. My worst stay in any hotel anywhere. Avoid.

Nicely kept buildings and units. Very friendly and knowledgeable front desk and building staff. My bedroom and shared bathroom were clean – Newer pillows, sheets and towels, even. The area around the building was well-kept, well-lit and secure – multiple locking doors and security cameras everywhere. It is located in a good and safe area close to many restaurants, bars and shops. I was comfortable walking back on the streets past midnight. It was nice to be able to extend my room check-out a couple of hours before my later flight. Staying here was a smart choice compared to spending $800 for the night at a nearby Boston hotel, and I got to experience the local neighborhood.

I do not recommend this stay to anyone, the room was not what I rented and it was also dirty and the bathroom was covered in excrement, totally disgusting.

Simply said you got what you paid. but if you're the light sleeper, don't stay here. Other than that, like if you don't care the cleaness and the conditions, it's the eco stay place for one or two nights.

It was fine for the one night we stayed for HOWEVER - YOU DO NOT HAVE A PRIVATE BATHROOM. This is an apartment style / boarding house style inn with shared “community” space and shared community bathroom. Very weird. Wasn’t aware of that part. Floors were dusty and staircase was….Bostonian. Slept with a chair pinned up under the door handle. Again, it was FINE for the one night but had I known this was not a private room / private bathroom situation I wouldn’t have booked it. But was cheap and the staff was friendly. It’s fine if you’re fine with that. If you’re looking for the Hilton, then just book the Hilton.

I thought I was going to be staying in the main building pictured on the listing, but whoever helped check me in brought my across the street & up 4 flights of stairs to what was essentially an attic with stains all over the floors, a short ceiling where I could barely stand up straight, stained towels, brutal heat given the window unit barely doing anything, and a really strange bathroom right across the hall. They insisted I prepay prior to going to the room (now it's obvious why) and the weirdo at the front desk insisted I pay $20 for 2 nights of parking. This is a really disgusting place to stay, the shared kitchen was not in good shape, and I would highly recommend looking elsewhere if you're looking for a place to stay in Boston. 0/10 - would never stay here again even if someone paid me to... please, consider elsewhere.

The best thing I can say is that the sheets were clean, safe, and convenient to my west Boston destination. However, it seems as though the property was allergic to vacuum cleaners. Dust accumulation around the organ in the hallway took years to build up. The carpet in my room needed cleaning. No, let's go with replacement. It was my first time staying at an inn (rooming house) with a shared bathroom. The rooming house (inn) was one step above the Bates Motel... If you are not used to washing your ass, yout a will feel right at home. I was trying to save some money and time traveling back and back to my destination. After this stay, the light at the Motel 6 looks good.
I left a day early and am willing to donate my last night's fees to cleaning.
I am a well-traveled professional who typically stays at 4-star hotels. The Internet pictures and reviews were OK, plus I was traveling by myself. I took for granted that the place would be cleaned.
This could be a very quaint place. But first, some elbow grease from experienced cleaners and restoration experts is needed to fumigate the place.
The staff was courteous but oblivious to hotel cleaning process.
