Wonderful place to stay. We stayed at Cottage 8. A/C was sufficient. One improvemwnt could include some antislip mats in the wet bathroom. The smooth tiled floor made it extemely slippery and hazrdous on occassions.
The garden around the property was lush with various fruit trees and easy acces to the river adjacent to the property.
We felt very safe. Thank you!

The property was good but staff will prevent me from staying again.
Staff was short with me from the start - asking me what I was there for when I was checking in then cutting me off as if I interrupted them; refusing to answer questions and telling other staff who spoke less English to help me; and most disappointingly misinforming me about park closure saying it was completely off limits to hiking due to wild elephants, but it was only closed to SELF hiking, and OPEN if you hired a guide, which I did not discover until too late.
I spent most of my time in my cabin or on my porch, which was generally pleasant. The cabins have tiny windows, so get little natural light. The lights inside are harsh. So it’s really best if you have a somewhere else to go.
The bathroom, although immaculate, had gaps in the screens so that mosquitoes and flies were abundant and also due to gaps around the door made their way into the sleeping area. Not a huge deal, but does require some strategizing. The shower was easy to use and a pleasant warm temperature. There were clear instructions on toilet use (do not flush paper, deposit paper in trash bin). It was my first time using a bidet and it was fine.
The pool gets full sun, is open 8a-8p, and cleaned every morning. The water is warm and comfortable. The attached restaurant in the front was great - service and food. This is where you want to arrange taxi back up to the bus station.

This place was amazing! I was looking for some place with some solitude, this was definitely it. The bungalows are great, the pool is nice, and the service is amazing! They set me up on a trip to the lake which was amazing. The town is great, and the restaurant at the hotel is nice... the only downsides are the bed isn’t very comfortable, and there are these little ants that get in. Also the electrical outlets are on the opposite side of the room from the bed, which is a bit inconvenient... other than that the place is awesome.

Aggressive attitude at front desk. We were not treated respectfully upon check in when asking simple questions. Very pushy to hussle your money which creates overall bad energy. We lost trust in the hotel. We ended up walking down the street to book another hotel room and tour. We talked to another guest who experienced the same attitude with front desk, they also booked a tour somewhere else. Huts are new and clean, but large signs all over the walls are very uncomfortable and feel like a prison. Many suprise charges, keep track of everything and be on guard if you stay here.

We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Bamboo! We had a fan-only room, and even though it was very hot in the area, the temperature in the room was comfortable. The room was tidy and cozy, the hotel was very well located (maybe 5 mins from the entrance to the national park), and it was quiet and relaxing. The bungalows are very nice, with proper screens on the windows to keep out the bugs. Definitely recommend!

Staying at the Royal Bamboo was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially the front desk staff go out of their way to make things easy.
The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a fan in the room and opted to not do AC for an extra cost. It worked fine in Feb, the fan blowing across you during the night keeps you cool. Sure there are occasional tiny bugs and a roach or two, but this is the tropics and you're not in a hermetically sealed cube.
The location here is great if you'd like to trek through some of the trails of the park and be able to walk to the entrance from the lodge. However, if your main interest is being walking distance to the lake itself, consider another area as there are only day and overnight trips available as packages here, but I believe that is the general standard unless you plan to hire your own boat.
We went on the 1 day lake tour for 1,500 baht/person and it was a REALLY good experience. Be sure to be at the Lodge before 8am if you'd like to do any lake trips. If we were there longer we would have sprung for the overnight, or two night trip on the lake.
The pool on site is very refreshing, an excellent setting to cool off, read, or meet other travelers. The restaurant connected to the lodge were really good as well, and you get %10 off for being a guest. There were two but we only went to the Thai Herb restaurant and not the pizza place.

The is a real gem in the heart of Khao Sok. Miss Noi and Ning on reception were absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful. We booked all of our trips and travel through them with no problems at all. They even threw in a complimentary breakfast for booking with them, and their prices are the same as all the other travel companies. Whilst we were there, it was the festival of Loy Kratong, and Miss Noi made all the guests their very own floral float, and we all went down to the river together to light our candles and set our float off and make our wish, it was a beautiful experience and very much appreciated that we were included in their celebrations, truly lovely.
The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, the bed was very comfortable and the mosquito net is a big plus. Complimentary water every day.
They allowed us to leave our bags with them for our overnight stay at the lake.
The swimming pool is an absolute bonus in the heat and the humidity of the jungle/rain forest. It was clean, with complimentary towels and plenty of sun beds.
The adjoining restaurant served good food and great service.
The location, could not be any better, in the heart of it and only minutes walk to the entrance to the National Park. Khao Sok is such a lovely place and the people so friendly
This is definitely vaIue for money. If we ever venture to Khao Sok again, we will absolutely stay here.
Thank you Miss Noi and Ning for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable. Lovely people.
