Loved the funkiness of the lobby. The room was great. Small but useful gym and attentive bartenders in both bars. Tasty breakfast too.

Check in was fabulous! Ben was incredibly helpful. Loved the decor!
The room, however, did not work well for older adults. Small print on electronic gadgets and the position of the bed were daunting. We won’t be back.
We really appreciated the handrails near the toilet - thank you!

Cozy hotel, nice styling, great rooftop bar, comfy big bed. Amazing location.
Would stay again.
Very small rooms, so not for all people.
Rooftop bar had different (less) opening hours than advertised.

Room was small as expected in New York but the view was AMAZING. I paid extra for the city view and it was 100% worth it. Waking up to that view every morning for 5 days was incredible.

This was an amazing place to stay. EVERYONE is friendly. The room is clean. The bed is huge and comfortable. The air gets so cold. The rooftop bar has BEAUTIFUL views of the city. The location is perfect. You're so close to EVERYTHING! The staff is knowledgeable and happy to help. The atmosphere is so chill. It's a nice, quiet stay compared to the hustle and bustle of the city. I love the atmosphere. Would definitely stay again. Also. The rooms are SO quiet. We were right next to the elevator, and we heard nothing. So glad we chose to stay here.

This is definitely a European style hotel. For one person the room is adequate. For two persons it is difficult to be in the room at the same time as the space available is quite limited. All rooms are alike. The king size bed is comfortable. However, if two are sleeping someone has to crawl over the other person to get out of the bed. The bed is affixed to the back of the room under the window with only one access in and out. The blackout blinds work very well. The security is terrific - you cannot enter and exit the elevator without a room key. The property location could not be better if you are interested in being in he heart of Manhattan. There is excellent and easy access to the subway. There are any number of fine restaurants in this area of town. The price was high per night. However, if your desire is to be in the heart of Time Square then you will pay for that access. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is controlled primarily by an I-Pad but there are wall switches as well. The shower is a real plus. Rain shower nozzle overhead as well as a hand held shower nozzle. For one person this is a great place to stay.

We stayed for three nights at citizen. Great location near Times Square, great rooftop bar facing Broadway. This is kind of a "modern" hotel where you have to check-in yourself at a computer, an i Pad in the room that controls everything etc, but it worked fine for us.

Would consider staying here again if traveling solo, but the rooms are WAY too small for couples. Dreaded spending any amount of time in the room. The rest of the property was nice, however, with great lobby and roof spaces. Also perfect location for easy access to the subway and Broadway theaters.

Have stayed in a CitizenM before so was aware how cosy the rooms were. Just right for me as a solo traveller. My only disappointment was I had a room at the side of the hotel so my view was the brick wall of the building next door. The staff were great and really helpful and the communal area in the lobby whilst basic was comfortable and suited my needs. Best bit for me was its proximity to the subway and theatres for the shows I had planned to see. Look forward to returning soon, thank you.

The rooms are smaller than they look in the pictures. Half the staff was very friendly and the rest pretty smug in a “is this France” kind of way. Housekeeping is great and views are stellar. Very convenient location with lots of bustle. Biggest problems were the lack of comfort in the room and some sour apple staff members.

Small rooms and some rude staff members make this a fairly uncomfortable environment.

This is a new-ish property in Times Square. Hotel is clean, modern, and fun. Excellent location near everything in Times Square and midtown Manhattan. More of a "self-service" hotel (check in/out in the lobby on a computer, e.g.) but staff are available to help. Hotel has a great rooftop bar that, at 10:00 pm on a Saturday was not very crowded. Will definitely stay here again.

We love staying at Citizen M hotels! They are so much fun, clean, and well designed. My only complaint about this hotel is it’s getting older so the bathroom glass door creaked, and the blackout roller shade was very loud and had a few holes in it. Just average wear and tear stuff- but still the same awesome hotel, would definitely stay again. Also the bath exhaust fan didn’t work- so you can hear everything out in the room.

The top contender for the latest category of the Guiness Book of World Records: smallest hotel room ever!
If you like cruising the you might feel at home.
But there is an extra: you gets the ticks for free.

The hotel was clean and perfectly situated to the show we were seeing later (the theatre was across the street).

This was a very small room yet my husband and I had everything we needed. The decor was delightfully fun with colorful artwork and moodlighting, a stuffed doll on our bed, and images reflected into the building outside our window. I set the bathroom lighting to purple at night and loved sleeping up against the window with the skyscrapers looming overhead. The room was clean, comfortable, and fun. The only thing we missed was valet parking but we managed just fine by double parking to load and unload. I was much happier here than in the older, much larger hotel we had just left in CT. The staff was great! Very pleasant and happy to provide everything we asked for (extra towels and a plastic bag for ice).Location was ideal for anything wanting to be close to the Broadway theaters. We enjoyed the rooftop and lobby bars, the breakfast bar, and the outdoor lounge areas on the mezzanine.
