This was the worst place I’ve stayed in the UK. The neighbourhood is inpleasant, ran down buildings and misbehaving people. I felt unsafe. The lock and door to room are flimsy, the shared kitchen is dirty, and the property has ’permanent residents’ I wonder who? Weird set up. Nowhere to eat and shop nearby, long walk to anywhere decent and safe. Avoid especially if you’re female and traveling alone. I booked 2 nights but had to book somewhere else for the 2nd night. I just couldn’t stay there any longer. I felt unsafe.

As previous reviews had mentioned, the outside of the property left a little to be desired but once through the door we were suitably impressed. Room was very comfortable and secure plus it was a bonus to have the use of the kitchen and facilities, all of which were spotless. Communications from the owner were spot on throughout so really couldn't fault our stay. We took a wrong turning to find the car park but ended up stumbling on off-road parking just a street away where the restriction for parking was only from 11 am to 3 pm so that was great and it was only a couple of minutes walk to the property. I'm glad we had downloaded a picture of the front of the property as it would have been a problem to identify it whilst driving down Union Street. Nothing to fault our stay.

Unfortunately there was no hot water available from wash hand basin within ensuite. Also the ensuite extract fan was not working, I was in room 5.

Can’t fault the room … everything you need for an overnight stay. Clean and warm. The area is a bit daunting in the dark but close to the centre

Instructions for check in and out were very clear. Parking around 5 min walk away was also highlighted. The room was clean and perfectly adequate for a weekend stay. Wardrobe needs a bit of TLC to rehang doors and some more hooks for hanging towels and coats would be good. In the bathroom the shower has plenty of hot water but does not drain well so you end up ankle deep in water and there is a risk of slipping as you step out. Shared kitchen is equipped with everything you need and the complimentary tea, coffee, bread etc was welcome.

The room was lovely and cozy.the beds so comfy.location is excellent. Just could do with a few more items in kitchen and was sometimes difficult to get into kitchen to cook as was same group continually in there so everything was used but this did not impact our stay and we would totally be more than happy to stay again. Kitchen and communal areas were always cleaned in the mornings and breakfast supplied excellent.overall very good value.

Clear directions and check-in details. Property looks run down outside but is really nice inside. Self check-in with key box on door. Room was clean and spacious with ensuite. Beds were comfy too. Kitchen located just down the hall which provided tea, coffee, milk, butter, cereal and bread, plus facilities to cook if you wished to. Managed to get a free parking space outside the property overnight, then used car park just down the road which was £5 all day, and only a 15 minute walk to the University. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Room - Clean and comfortable,
Location - Was ok, though I had never been to Plymouth, I wouldn't say it was a safe place (because there was a bunch of alcoholics next door on the door step)
If you are looking for a cheap and cheerful stay for one night, this place is worth staying.

Excellent property. Very good facilities.

Apart from the bedside light not working everything was as you would expect. I used the western approach car park when I arrived as there was no space outside the property but on both of the other nights I was able to park right outside

Outside looks awful but inside it’s lovely the room and facilities are very comfortable although mirror and socket placement not good for drying hair etc.

Recently stayed at this property for one night. Room.was very nice and cosy to be honest. Nice shower room. Very good location, town 10 mins walk away. Wetherspoons about two mins away which was handy.
Couple of down sides. Room and house I felt was very hot. Radiators on when it's hitting nearly 20 degrees outside. And a few what appear to be liquid marks or stains on walls. A warm cloth would sort that. However wouldn't put me off staying again. Was a nice quaint/ unique property. Made a change from same old hotels.

Very clean property with good shared kitchen facilities. Not in the best area of town but it all felt safe and secure.

The property was right in the centre of the town. The room was narrow for 3 person . The bathroom lock was not locking . The shower cubical had hand held shower head so the flow was not quiet slow .The water was not hot as it was turning itself cold. There should be a lift as the stairs are very steep. If you have a room on the 2nd floor you will struggle. Please try to improve your facilities.
