I'd booked the en suite single room. The owner was very welcoming and friendly, I think their main offering is self catered apartments so if you just have a room like I did then there is no eating option on the premises. It's about a 20 minute walk into the centre of Gstaad where I had an evening meal. Good value accommodation at CHF57 for 1 night.

If you are looking for a rural setting, but still close to Gstaad Saanen area, this is the place.
Well appointed room, everything you need and a great view to make it a great stay.

Very high quality studio with good standard of facilities and equipment.
Chalet is located just over a mile out of the town centre and railway station. Okay, but it is nearly all uphill, so a bit of a climb.
Alternative is to get a taxi, but this costs 21 CHF, about £20 each way. A bit steep, but Gstaad is an expensive place to stay.
Saying that, the chalet is located in a fabulous location and the views down the valley to the town are just beautiful, both in the snow, and I'm sure, in the summer.
Luckily the snow had just arrived and the skiing was good, but very quiet, with empty pistes and nothing in the way of atmosphere or apre-ski going on. Don't know if this is normal, but suspect that this might be the case. So don't expect anything in the way of nightlife.
