Nice big garden, quick walk to the beach, enough space in the house for both privacy and family time. Short drive to hiking and Grand Bend.
Was hot in the house when we first got there but opening the windows and turning on the fans quickly helped.

I am digusted with how filthy the house is! The beds are super uncomfortable, the house is super hot due no a/c. The house smells of mold. Dust, cobwebs everywhere, mold, scum and hair in the shower. Hair on bathroom floors and dirty floors everywhere. DO NOT EVER STAY AT HIS PLACE.I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT Iwritenovelwrite

Our family of 3 enjoyed our short stay at this property. The foosball table, large garden, & short walk to a private beach were the highlights for our 4y/o. The house initially smelled musty, but was minimized for us when we opened windows. We were asked to bring our own sheets and towels, so we only used the upstairs queen bedroom & cannot speak for the other bedrooms. The queen bed was clean and comfortable. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would consider staying here again.

Nice cottage in a pretty and quiet area with a very short walk to a great beach. It is quite roomy, the kitchen well-equipped, and the yard is large with lots of room for outdoor games. The weekend we went, it was very hot and the house was initially stuffy when we arrived, but having the ceiling fans going and open windows cooled things down.
Our major complaint was the cleanliness. The two bathrooms appeared very clean. However, the rest of the place didn’t look like it had been cleaned in some time. While we can appreciate that it is a pet-friendly property, almost every sofa and chair was covered with animal hair as well as the carpets. We ended up using just one sofa we cleared as best we could. There was dust on many common surfaces. The kitchen had cobwebs on the stove, the tablecloth had stains and leftover food and crumbs on it, and the fridge hadn’t been wiped out.
I’d recommend that the house be thoroughly vacuumed on all surfaces and aired out well, including the basement, which was very musty. Since there are two double beds in the basement, if a larger group were renting, folks stuck in the basement would find it dark, stuffy and close even though there’s quite a bit of space down there. The windows down there couldn’t be opened because one screen had a big hole and the other didn’t have one.

When we arrived, we couldn't breathe in the house. It was so hot because someone put on the heat. It didn't improve even after we turned it off. There were fans, the one in the kitchen didn't work. It doesn't help when its already too hot in the house, so the fans aren't helpful. We couldn't breathe upstairs so we didn't sleep upstairs. We ended up sleeping in the basement because it was tolerable. The mattresses were so hard and uncomfortable. We found pizza crust and pizza toppings under the blankets in one of the beds, so gross. Might've been from someone who stayed there before us. I don't know if cleaners come in or anything, but no one checks it would seem. The pictures should also be updated because it made it seem like it was more private, when really it was in a cul de sac, merely a stone throw away from neighbours. The BBQ was also not the same as in the photos. It all just left much to be desired for almost $200 a night.

We booked this cottage for a 3-night stay but left after just one night due to the appalling conditions. The cottage was very old and filthy, both inside and out. The host informed us at the last minute that we needed to bring our own sheets. The beds were extremely dirty, with urine stains and hair all over. The walls and ceilings were covered with cobwebs and dead insects.
We notified the host, who sent a cleaner. However, the cleaner claimed it had been cleaned earlier and only did a superficial vacuuming. It was clearly still unclean. The air smelled moldy, and my wife became ill after just one day. We had to vacate the property, even though we had planned to stay for three nights. The host was not at all easy to each via phone or chat.
To make matters worse, the host refused to provide a refund, and our security deposit was double-charged and returned late. This was an extremely unpleasant experience, and I do not recommend this property to anyone. Don't risk it.

This place was very nice. Our family had a wonderful day and the house is big enough to accommodate a family of five.
