Quite basic. Far away from any interesting place. Not very convinient. Does not justify the cost.

Luxurious and, though expensive, well worth it. Access to the beautiful adjoining palace grounds and gardens an added plus. Easy access to Dresden. Highly recommend.

Staff was super. We decided we wanted to take a train to Berlin for a day, and the hotel offered a shuttle to and from the train station so we did not have to deal with finding parking at the train station. They even had a small easter basket outside our door on Easter morning.

It was my first time in Germany and this hotel made it a success! From the moment we arrived to the time we left the staff was considerate and helpful. The room was clean and in good order. The hotel is located on a historic estate and has a gorgeous garden that guests can walk through for free or reduced prices. The breakfast was incredible and offered a nice selection of hot and cold items.
While this hotel is a bit far from the historic section of Dresden (what I came to see) The front desk was able to arrange transportation via hotel shuttle or taxi ( I was told that there is public transportation nearby.)
Overall a delightful stay!

I booked this hotel quickly as I was driving late and needed a stop before making the next drive to Prague. Found it by searching for a place with free wifi, parking and breakfast. Price was reasonable so I quick booked and followed the directions. To my surprise, I woke up the next morning to find myself staying in a palace with expansive gardens. Built as the August the Strong's summer estate, the most challenging part of this stay was leaving on time to drive to Prague. An incredible experience and worth the trip. The service staff are also very helpful.

Our stay was great. Just wished there was air conditioning in room and the drapes would block out the sun better.

We took a direct flight from London City to Dresden Germany. Shuttle from the hotel collected us. The shuttle is also available during the holiday. There is a ferry near to cross the river . Also steam boats do stop near the hotel to travel into Dresden which is a beautiful City.

Was really a great hotel, and deserves it's four stars! Our room had lots of room, well appointed for the recently remodeled summer castle of August the Strong. The restaurant was great, mentioned that husband is diabetic and manager came out and explained they had made mango sherbert with olive oil to lower the sugar, which in turn made it a creamer texture as compared to the normal ice crystals, was presented well with fresh fruit. Our meals were excellent in presentation and taste; and the price was in range that we pay at other restaurants. Then the next day at breakfast buffet after giving our room number, one of the waiter's asked if we wanted diet jam (German's verison for less sugar). Very nice of them to make a mental note, and provide that extra service without asking!
