The house is very well maintained. There was only just enough towels. They certainly didn’t go overboard here. The listing states there are trade winds that help cool off the house. Well that’s if they are blowing. When we arrived the upstairs was very hot. The house had been closed up until we arrived. Opening the windows and turning on all the fans only did so much. We were tired after a day of travel and the bedrooms were not cool enough to be in. It was down right hot. Yes the listing does not include A/C, but it saying trade winds sufficiently cool the house is NOT correct.
For the cost of this home, there are others with A/C for just a little more if any more. I would recommend one of those over this home.
Also the downstairs bathroom is shoehorned in there. There is no way to sit on the toilet without sitting sideways. The shower there is just as bad. It’s just a poor design for a bathroom. I’ve never seen anything like it before.
I believe just from looking at other places there is better in this area. It’s not horrible, but it’s not great either.
We did end up complaining to their new management company and did get a window A/C unit for the bedroom to be able to sleep at night. It was an extra $150.

This place was a perfect location to explore the north shore. Property was clean and We like the fact that there was nobody above or below us. Princeville shopping center just around the corner and Hanalei bay just a short drive away

My husband and I visited Kauai for the first time last year and fell in love! Especially with the North Shore. We stayed in Poipu last year, but I knew I wanted to stay somewhere near Princeville or Hanalei when we returned this year. I just loved that area so much! This townhouse was clean, comfortable, well decorated, and had all of the supplies we needed to cook meals or enjoy some time at the beach. I really appreciated that it had a washer and dryer in the townhouse as well. There’s a Foodland close by where you can get groceries. The location was super convenient to all of the things we wanted to do in the North Shore. It was a bit of a drive to some of the other things we wanted to do near Poipu, Hanapepe, or Kapa’a, and especially to Waimea Canyon, but I didn’t mind the drive. It doesn’t have air conditioning, but I found the temperature to be pretty comfortable at night if you opened up the windows and turned on the ceiling fans. I appreciated that the hosts had beach chairs and coolers that we could use while staying there. We did find a few cockroaches in the townhouse, but that’s probably a pretty common issue on the Hawaiian islands.

Our stay in Kauai could not have been more amazing. The property was exactly as detailed in the listing, plus more. They had beach chairs, boogie boards, extra coolers. The house was so well stocked. We prefer to cook at home versus eating out 3 meals a day for our vacations, this can be hit or miss when renting a property. This home had everything we needed. Including a blender for our morning protein drinks.
Our trip was myself, my husband and our 22 year old daughter. The home was perfect for us!!
The hosts checked in with us several times and gave us suggestions on places to go and eat. We took their hike they suggested that leads down to a very secluded beach. It was perfect. We would definitely stay at this location again!!

This was perfect for our family. Near the main highway and only a few minutes from Hanalei. The beds were comfortable and the all the items that we could possibly have needed were included in the home. We would definitely stay here again

This place was perfect for us - 2 adults, 1 child - to explore the North Shore. Walking to Nourish Hanalei for the food and the view was a favorite, then winding up then down again to the beach. Grocery store also within walking distance. The surroundings are lush and beautiful. Hanalei is a short drive. The house was comfortable, super clean, and just as described. We loved having use of a full kitchen and laundry during our stay. Beds were both very comfy. When we return to Kaua'i we will be looking to book here again. Thank you!

Stayed with our infant son and had a wonderful time. All amenities are in great condition, including a fully stocked kitchen which made eating at the home very enjoyable given proximity to grocery stores and local markets/vendors. Hosts were always quick to respond. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay as always. A perfect combination of quiet, comfort, location and aloha.

The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. The location was perfect for our stay to access all the beautiful beaches on the north shore and the great restaurants in Hanalei. The house was well equipped with beach gear and we were able to prepare lovely dinners every night that we did not go out. I would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely townhouse. It was very clean and comfortable. It has Mt. views from lanai and bedroom, and beautiful wood floors throughout. We felt right at home with all the amenities provided, thanks to our great host Mandy and Jim who kept in contact with us before and during our stay.
4.9
The property was beautiful, fully stocked, everything we needed was provided. The beds were very comfortable enjoyed the breezes in the evening. The location was perfect, quit neighborhood, after a day of traveling around the island we came back planned the next day it was relaxing. Communication with Mandy and Jim was actually the best I have had in 3 trips to the islands. Not that I needed anything, but they checked in just to be sure. I would certainly recommend this property.

We love staying at this property. It is our second time and it was just as nice the second time. It is clean and in a great location. The owners are available at any time and give great suggestions for activities and food on the island.

Was overall a pleasant experience! Our family had a good time, all the amenities were very nice and clean. A/C would have been very welcome but was a great experience nevertheless. Would recommend!

Unit is lovely. However, the street can be very noisy from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Hosts are very kind.

This property was the perfect spot for our Princeville vacation. It felt like home immediately: spacious, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and made our preference for home-cooked meals so much easier. Good access to the Princeville Centre and its abundance of services and resources. The complex is beautifully landscaped and well maintained and we met some friendly neighbours! It was easy to walk down to the old Club Med property and get to the lookouts and perfectly shaded beach areas. Highly recommend the food truck at the end of the road: Nourish Kaua´i! Mandy was very responsive to questions by text message. Mahalo!

The lodging was perfect. Comfortable and spacious. Lots of good shelf and storage space in the bedroom and bathroom, which is often not the case in rentals. It does get very hot in the late afternoon on sunny days. The hosts were great.
4.9
A very nice place to stay for vacation with all necessary amenities. We were impressed by the thoughtfulness of the host in every detail: More comprehensive Kitchen tools than we have ever encountered in a vacation home incl such things as cling wrap and a bottle of olive oil. Beach towels, beach chairs (2), super modern washing machine and dryer, and even a dish washer. The house was clean and modernized, with enough space for the three of us. Just be aware there is no AC, only fans. The upstairs bedrooms could get quite warm in the afternoon and early evening but not so bad as to prevent us from sleeping at night as it has been in other places on Hawaii.
4.9
Had a great stay during our trip to Kauai. The inside temperature was very hot when we checked in. The windows have to stay open to allow the breeze to pass through, as there’s no A/C. It ended up not being an issue for us, as we were out most of the day and only coming back in the evenings once it had cooled off anyway. I loved the proximity to Hanalei and made daily trips to a cute coffee shop there. It’s definitely a long drive to the other parts of the island (45min to Lihue/1.5hr to Waimea.) So plan well or split your stay according to what you’re going to be doing while you’re there. This is my third time to Kauai- highly recommend seeing Nepali by helicopter, the cave tubing with Kauai Backcountry Adventures & hiking the Sleeping Giant Trail.

Homeowners communicated quickly on questions. They sent information and directions for two nearby beautiful hikes. We didn’t know about either one, so we were grateful they shared.
Home was fairly priced, comfortable and clean.
We enjoyed our time at this property and would recommend to others.

We had a wonderful time staying at the VRBO! I would highly recommend it to anyone and would stay here again in the future.
4.9
Clean, comfortable, good location and had about anything we could need or want for our 3 week stay. Hosts are very quick with response to inquiries. Thanks so much, Mandy and Jim, for sharing your vacation home with us.

Great location and really comfortable beds
4.9
Comfortable but the description is exaggerated. Property is in very 'tired' condition and in need of some maintenance. Only 'surface clean' and the place smelled bad until we cleaned under the kitchen and bathroom sinks with Lysol.
Furniture is worn out / damaged. Toilet in main floor bathroom is situated so tight to the shower stall that only someone less than 4 feet tall can actually sit on it. Location is good except that it is right on Hanalei Plantation Road which is a very busy artery from Princeville with traffic that starts roaring past at 5:30 am about 80 feet from the master bedroom windows - hence the need for earplugs - well, that and the roosters that are everywhere on the Island. Kitchen pretty well equipped but pots and pans were in rough shape. Overall it was just OK which was a bit disappointing given the description. We have done many vacation rentals over the years and have seldom been disappointed at all.

Highly recommend, our family had a wonderful stay and its great location!

Our rental was perfect. It was well located close to Hanalei and other nearby attractions. The home was clean and well stocked with everything we might need. The hosts were communicative, and everything went smoothly. Would highly recommend this rental for people coming to the area!

4 of us travelled for the first time to Hawaii. What a wonderful trip we had. The house was exactly as the pictures showed. Clean and spacious. The beds are sooo confortables. The location is near restaurants, supermarket and shops. A short walk. We enjoyed very much our stay. The hots were great to communicate with. Check in and out were quick and easy. I definitely recommend this property.

The property was clean & tidy & very comfortable & quiet. Easy access to Hanalei. Built in alarm clock as roosters crowing before dawn.

My spouse and I have visited Kauai numerous times and were extremely well pleased with this property from the first step of booking to the tidying up and check out process. Spacious and cozy with everything one needs for preparing one’s own meals. The place was really clean and the decor lovely, and as artists, we particularly appreciated the art that decorates the walls. Close to all the things we love in this area. The neighbors were also very friendly which made us feel safe, and their kitty was also friendly. We read the other reviews before booking this place, and they were accurate. Would stay here again! Very cordial and speedy replies from the owners. So grateful! My partner when reading my recap to him said, perfect!
4.9
Mandy and James were great hosts. They provided us with great suggestions of things to do the in the area. The place was clean and well equipped. I would definitely recommend staying here.
4.9
This townhouse had modern amenities and charming decor. Recommends from the owners made it easy to get a good feel for both Hanalei and Princeville. They keep an excellent set of guidebooks available to all guests as well as personal notes for walks and supplies which were most helpful. Be sure to see "The Ruins" and have a first class lunch at the snack shack at the fork.
4.9
The space was great. We loved the two bathrooms. As others have mentioned, it did get hot in the unit, but the air flow is great and it does cool down with the help of fans. Easy access to the main hwy to get onto Kauai adventures!
4.9
Cute, comfortable condo. I was a little worried about not having air conditioning but leaving the windows open and the fans worked great.
4.9
Not much more to say other than it was a great stay! Close to a grocery store which was nice and the house was clean and well stocked with kitchen items to make meals.
4.9
Loved this condo! It’s in a great location. Clean, and hosts were great. Would definitely stay here again!
4.9
What an amazing time! The house was perfect for our stay. Our welcome email included suggestions of places to go along with directions on how to get there. We went to at least half of the suggested places and we’re so happy we did! Thank goodness for all the beach items in storage, chairs, coolers, body board! Owners are very welcoming and accessible via text or email! We will stay here again!!!
